This video will show you how to seal a concrete driveway using LastiSeal Penetrating concrete sealer and Tomahawk's Power Backpack Sprayer.
Tomahawk wanted me to try their Power sprayer and let you guys know what I thought of it. I reveal that in the video.
I had this 1800 sq ft concrete driveway and a 300 sq ft concrete walkway to seal so this was a good opportunity to try out the sprayer.
I'm using Lastiseal concrete driveway and paver sealer on this project. It's a penetrating concrete sealer that's kinda like injecting liquid plastic into the pores of the concrete. This sealer is great for freeze/thaw conditions, it'll protect your concrete driveway from water damage caused by salt being applied to the concrete in the winter.

The very first step we take a few days ahead of time is to thoroughly clean the slab with a pressure washer. When spraying sealer on existing slabs we like to hit it with a roller to even out the coat and on small to medium sized driveways or patio’s it’s just as easy to pop the lid on the 5 gallon pail of sealer and dip the roller in and roll out the area. Depending on the sealer type it’s also a good idea to add some anti-slip additive to avoid a trip hazard when the slab is wet. Great job with adding relevant and interesting content, always a pleasure to watch.

For oil-based sealers, we do the same. But waterborne sealer like he's using, we spray. It's super forgiving, and goes on very level (as it's so thin being water based). Few techniques for our views

It does. You can spray 6 gallons in about a minute or two without stopping.

Could you spray acrylic sealer on aggregate with this? I don’t know much about sealing driveways but I found this video and think this is a super cool machine and I’m curious now

You can adjust the pressure on it too. It'll spray 25' if you want it to.

For 2 Months I've been trying to decide what to buy for My basement floor, all I see a lot of is epoxy flooring. I know I don't want that because I can tell it just sits on the concrete. I wanted something that would penetrate the concrete. But I also know that You can't use any product anywhere. And this seems like something that would suit My need. So I wanna know, can this product be used indoors? Or Are there any other Siliconate Penetrating Sealers that you can recommend for interior use? Thanks alot.

Spraying sealer in the grass will damage it? Or spraying the seal on the garage door will left marks? How you do in that scenario?

Hey Mike, How much sqft do you average per gallon of sealer? Based in mfg 2100sqft should have been around 8-11 gallons. Just want to know what to plan on for coverage

i have a sprinkler system that runs well water. Which is high in iron so i have areas with orange stains on concrete driveway/sidewalks. What is the best stuff to use to get these stains off? Will sealing the concrete help with keeping the stains off after i get them cleaned?

CLR works pretty good for an ‘off-the-shelf’ product. We get a lot of that iron staining here in Florida with our shallow utility wells.

Do you typically use water based? Do you not have to back roll that? We use solvent based siloxane but had a couple problems with old concrete getting blotchy

Just what I was hoping for! The world doesn’t have enough 2-stroke engine powered tools to listen to (bcz we all know what a pleasant and soothing whine they make 😣) Ok ok, thumbs up and a comment bcz I typically enjoy the channel but I would be disingenuous if I didn’t say I felt like I just sat thru an 11:00 info-mmercial on something that could have been covered in about 20-30 seconds, tops. If I was ‘that guy’ that just spouted off negative comments on every video, you could probably just chalk it up to some jerk, but you’re ‘batting avg’ with my comments, is typically pretty high - Pros who know wtf they’re doing, in a not-so-easy craft.
