Perfect. This is exactly what i needed. I just bought a set of resistance bands, but I couldn't quite figure out how to use the door anchor. Now that I know how to secure it, I can hardly wait to start using my resistance bands!

The one legged squat with band assistance can be done by creating a band loop, attaching each clip to a metal ring on the ultra anchor (or on to an ankle strap), and then holding the band with 2 arms (or one) while performing the exercise. The attachment height would probably be about neck height? For the one arm pull up, the same concept applies, only fit your entire torso through the loop, but leave one arm (the active one) outside of the loop. Then perform a pushup. The attachment point I use here is about midway up the door. When in pushup starting position, my soles are literally almost touching the door. I find these isolating compound movements to be really effective, and with these bands you can gradually step down the amount of assistance, which is great to see because you know how strong you're getting!

Oh FML I have been doing it wrong this whole time I put my door anchor at the top of the door and also I clip the carabiners to the door anchor loop hahaha oops

It's really incredible to see just how many exercises you can do with these bands and a door anchor, as evidenced by the number of demos you've posted in these last two days. The only thing I don't like to use them for is resisted pushups, because the wrist strain is uncomfortable. Also, I find using continuous looped bands to be more effective for me when doing squats, as they alleviate some of the arm strain that can occur when you load the resistance using these bands, and they also permit me to get really low into the squat. Have you thought about adding demos for assisted one legged squats and one armed pushups?

I like the idea of putting the door anchor on the hinge side of the door. However, it's not such a time-saver when I need to move it for the next exercise

i can only attach it to the hinged side. I tried the top and bottom and it looks like my door's about to break in half or something since it's only those hollow wooden doors, lol

Grrr my anchor strap won't fit on the hinge side. The door wont close.

As long as the door can close securely. You also want to make sure that the door doesn't actually cut the anchor.

Wow this is so dangerous. Puttign the anchor on the wrong side of the door and USING VELCRO STRAPS BETWEEN THE ACNHOR AND THE BAND? How many pounds do you think velcro can take

No idea how the ankle strap to door anchor succeeds. I do know a great deal of effort is not required to "unlock" the hook and loop when tugging on the strap when attached to the anchor. Perhaps a different "physics" is at play when using a band with it. Thanks.

The video of the ankle strap configuration through the anchor is of poor quality. Run the length of the strap through the D-ring and back on to itself where the end result will be the attaching hook side to loop side. Probably reverse of what you attempted.

@@bodylastics well he is technically correct. I’d imagine the correct way to do it or the more safe way would be to do it on the side where the door closes towards you. This way pulling won’t accidentally cause the door to open because it closes the way you’re pulling, but that being said that should never happen specifically since you’re pulling from the hinge side. So the original guy is obviously a bit of an asshole but technically correct.

Most doors aren't as strong as the door on this vid so it's bloody pointless spending extra money for the anchors plus I'm six foot 3,need the bands to be higher.Useless idea!
