I've learned this year, to respect people's opinions and give them the correct value. For example, if someone would tell me they don't like my haircut I would feel ugly right away, the first thought I had was "I look bad and everyone notices it", but now I register it as an opinion. Everyone has different tastes and the first person I got to make happy is myself. Being busy adjusting to people who don't like you makes you lose time you could spend with people who do. Peacefully accepting rejection and disagreement is important, even though the person you disagree with is someone you cherish, there's no need to be a perfect match. (it's not their fault if they have bad taste😜)

Hi Anna, You just described my childhood. I was just like you, the old you. I never made eye contact and I sat in the back and was quiet, I wanted people not to notice me bc then there was no criticism. I too grew up in the traditional Korean household and was always told that I was not good enough, because of this toxic environment I ate a lot and gained weight. I had no self esteem. After college, I found a job and started to loose weight and gain back my self esteem.I started to distance myself with everyone that made me feel bad about myself. My main takeaway from this is that you have to like yourself and everything falls in placez

Not trying to be rude but....can we just be clear that social awkwardnes is not the same as being introvert? I think you miss the whole definition of introvert vs extrovert. I'm an introvert (INTJ), I quite enjoy talking to people. The difference is that introverts "pay energy" for social interaction and extroverts "gain energy"for social interaction. It has absolutely nothing to do with social skills. I would argue you weren't an introvert when you were younger, you probably just had bad social skills that you have since developed. It's two completely different things.

I didn't know that from introvert someone can become extrovert. Introverts feel drained by social interactions and need more time alone to recharge, but that doesn't make them less charming. There can be charismatic people that are introverts. My thoughts

Yes! People are sometimes shocked when I say I'm introverted because I do love parties and people and hanging out and socializing, but as much as I love it--it drains me. I NEED my alone time or I fall apart. I definitely enter recluse phases in order to recharge.

As an introvert (ISFP) , it's really hard for me to start talking with people. Those days I try really hard to talk with people and be playful so they don't think about me in a different way. But at the end of the day, it's really exhausting, coz being with people is hard and it drains all my energy and when people say something negative, it upset me a lot, but I saw in a video she explained "if someone giving u 10% give them 10%, if someone giving u 20% give them 20%". That really helped me. So now I also do the same thing and don't really care about what other people are telling about me. I'm just gonna be me and be true to myself. As u said, life is too short to be worried about stuff that doesn't matter. If the person can't accept you for who you are and can't understand you, then no reason to stay and waste your energy. Thank you so much for the video💜

Hi Anna, love your videos! I'm an INFP so I like being on my own but having good company is great too. 1. Laugh it off, don’t be too serious and always try to be lighthearted and playful. 2. Body language, hand gestures, facial expressions... 3. Physical touch, appropriate touches. 4. Appearance, look good, look clean, if you saw yourself and your were the opposite sex, would you want to date yourself?, confident in your appearance in order to be fully aware/focused in the moment. 5. Eye contact, try to imagine a triangle on the face and just look in that kind of direction. 6. General knowledge, find some common ground, genuine interest/curiosity. 7. Genuine compliments, accept the compliment when receiving one. 8. Do not let stupid dumb stuff trigger you, don’t let people’s opinions affect you, control your emotions.

Notes to self: 1. Don't be too serious! Be lighthearted and playful. It's okay to show your emotions and be vulnerable 2. Hand gestures, facial expressions (genuine)- convey warmth, energy, can try to establish physical connection (handshake, fistbump), eye contact 3. Your Appearance- look good and be less self-conscious so you can be present and connect with the other person 4. Find common ground and ask the other person questions-authentically curious 5. Make the other person feel good when they are with you! Compliments warm others up. And accept compliments as well. 6. Don't let other's opinions affect you! Have good quality thoughts. Don't be afraid of rejection or failure. First time seeing your videos- I am subscribed!

Oh Anna you have such a beautiful heart! I have to admit I was hesitant to click on the video because I thought it was about dating 😅🤦‍♀️. I’m so glad you were able to overcome your awkwardness period. Though in my opinion, I think you have always had it (charm) in you but some how blocked it. I’m a 50 year old introverted woman and life experiences and adulting have forced me to be in uncomfortable situations that I didn’t want to be in. My problem though is more of fear of striking up a conversation even though I’m genuinely curious about a person. The fear is almost debilitating and I miss out on so much. But when people open up to me they attach themselves to me and want my presence ALL the time. That’s when I withdraw into my loner life. I’m charming and friendly though -I think…😏. But I love your energy and the beauty of your quiet and gentle spirit. When I visit SK , if I run into you I hope I’m not too scared to say hi 😅🤷‍♀️. Thanks for the tips❤.

Heard an interesting theory that people's personality when they're growing up is not their real personality. That their environment around them (i.e. school/family) is suppressing their real personality. And it comes out when they're an adult because people are removed from their controlled environment. Allowing them to be more independent and fully express themselves. It might be likely you never were introvert.

The MBTI is a controversial test battery within the psychology community. MBTI has some reliability and validity issues. If you do decide to use MBTI, use it as a personal development tool to focus on the things you may need work on rather than the strengths of your type. If you don't believe me, ask someone with a psychology background that you trust. Lastly, be kind to yourself and others.

this isnt shade, more on a point of how every single video on youtube overcomplicates this subject... Its really simple, if you are interested in yourself, other people will be interested in you, if you are bored all the time and dont do anything about it, this is what people will see. Don't place your confidence in other people, others opinions aren't worth acting on. if you want to learn something be fine being on your own and value your own opinion over anyone elses in general, especially these days. these days most people arent genuine and dont know how to be, people are mostly initialised because of modern life and its shocking how many people dont know how to act like a human being and thats sometimes what you just have to put up with. I was brought up with friends that I could talk to for hours without a lull for weeks on end about absolutely nothing without phones, without social media, without distractions and laugh my ass off... that creativity is dying out and the depths of modern conversion is the same as a parrot recapping what they've done, where they've been and that's just an unimaginative mind that has no depth to it. again if your bored with yourself, amuse yourself and others will follow, its that simple

I think you might actually be an ESTJ rather than an ENTJ. The 16 personalities quiz isn't actually adherent to the original 'cognitive functions' typology that Jung, or Myers and Briggs formulated and/or systematised. There's this idea of these 8 'cognitive functions' - and with the functions that ESTJs prioritise and possess (Te-Si-Ne-Fi), ESTJs are very capable of ideating and generating 'new possibilities' whereas the ENTJ is more fixated on a singular, unified possibility and vision (Ni rather than Ne). Both are intuitions but in different ways. All in all, either ESTJ or ISTJ is the vibe I personally get from you, you definitely seem closer to ISTJ than INTJ in that sense, at least with regards to the type of content you put out and how you appear on camera A way you might think about it - the ESTJ is more likely to approach things by examining preexisting, working methods of getting things done (Te-Si) while innovating on it with their Ne function to explore new horizons and possibilities, whereas the ENTJ tends to approach it from an entirely personal, focused point of view (Te-Ni). ENTJs are also more prone to hedonism because of their 'Se' (which is all about sensory experience in the moment) whereas you seem more disciplined in that sense because of Si over Se and are less likely to overindulge, but form and stick to healthier, comfortable routine (which is what Si is all about)

Fact: 10% of people will never be pleased. I remember about 37 years ago when I was at a Toyota Canada meeting, it was talked about how Toyota could never get over 90% customer satisfaction no matter what they did. The research showed them the 10% can't be pleased.

90% is high and is where Toyota was at that time. Toyota achieved that by making sure their highest quality vehicles went to North America as it was the most important market. Toyota told me all vehicles coming to North America had 4 times more quality control checks then their domestic market. It has changed now though but Toyota still has the highest durability rating in North American customer minds, but I feel (without evidence) has probably dropped. @@anna.lee_jy

@@anna.lee_jy I get it. But it’s not really from the heart. They like the image and the identity you have created to project and these relationships will likewise remain shallow and not truly fulfill your soul. Something to discover perhaps? It’s not a black and white subject for sure. Thanks for sharing …

I am ENTJ too.. Wanted to say thank you for talking about the UK in your vlogs. I know UK is not perfect but I believe Korea can learn from our attitude towards multiculturalism, tolerance for others and embracing diversity. ❤ 🇬🇧

Skirting around the effects of being attractive seems a little deceptive. A person's appearance and attractiveness are closely linked to how people perceive and treat you. Being perceived as "charming" is an uphill battle for unattractive people. Possible, sure, but difficult. It is also hard to separate the effects of being attractive from the effects of one's innate charm. The videos of attractive people going out in public wearing a fat suit disguise are entertaining because of the "reality check" the participants feel. Anna is a little bit lucky because she has a glimpse of both sides, the awkward and the attractive. She is a great example of why staying healthy, exercising, eating right are so important.

Yes looks do matter and I agree that it is hard for unattractive people ☹ but you can def also have attractive but socially awkward people too
