Quite usefull this video. Normally I use ChartCo PassageManager to generate charts that I need for intended route, but this alternative is a "good to know". Thanks guys!

Hi. Thank you for the videos. I’d like to ask that how ecdis chart catalouge updated? This is a good function but we need to update weekly like ADC.
@furunomaritimetraining3 жыл бұрын
Hi Thank you so much for writing to us and sorry for the late reply. To answer your question. The ECDIS catalogue is updated firstly when you load an BASE or WEEKLY update. you can see the latest catalogue in cell status, after you have done the update. I hope my answer could help you. Take care of yourself, and have a great day Kind regards Morten

Hello. Great videos. Could you make a video, or just tell me how to import a route and user chat in to fmd ecdis? Which format I need to use to back up the route and user chart from ecdis1 to transfer in to ecdis 2? Could you tell more about rtz, avcs and csv formats? Which one to use?

Hi Kiril Thank you so much for watching our movies, that is really great of you👍😊 And thank you so much for those great questions. I will make a video with this topic also, a lot to explain😊 A short version is to go to Plan mode, then in the instant access bar choose the button Manage data. pick route or user chart. then in the library list, choose which route to export, then at the bottom of the window choose the format in the drop-down list. RTZ to be used between to FMD ECDIS. ASCII or CSV if to be transferred to another brand of ECDIS. To Import just do the same just click import instead of export. Then import the route from your USB. I will, of course, explain this more thoroughly in a video. Take care and have a great day😊😊 Kind regards Morten

Question Sir, should we order every ENC which are on route basket? Or can we remove some general ENC because we have already large ENC on basket which are more detailed? Thanks for the video Sir! Very informative.

Hello, Morten! I am using Furuno ECDIS with a chart supplier that I will not mention. I have an issue and I hope you can guide me, or make a video about it, even this is not a normal ECDIS use situation. When I perform the route check, on some legs I have result "Permit expired". Although, in Chart Menu, for Cell Status all is green, Chart report for route showing all charts up to date. Chart report for route from my chart supllier also showing all up to date. But the route check is giving me the "Permit Expired" result. I would like to know why is happening this and how can I fix it. Thank you so much! And thank you for all your work! You're doing a great job!

I will reply myself 😁. Sometimes big problems have simple solutions. All is ok now, after one ECDIS restart.
