Summary
This is a SUPER detailed, overexplained tutorial for how to self-shoot, including camera comparisons, lens comparisons, photography equipment, and tips for focus and posing! I’m not a professional photographer, I’ve learned mainly through google and experience, so this is from the perspective of a complete beginner for content creators! I also review focal length and f-stop, as well as compare the 40mm vs 50mm vs 35mm vs 85mm lenses, which took me an eternity so please validate me.

Notes and Updates:
➞ I didn’t clarify enough that I’m using literally the same 50mm 1.4 lens on each camera, which requires an EF-M to EF mount adapter on the mirrorless M6 camera. Based on reviews, it looks like the 32mm 1.4 is the best overall portrait lens for the M6 (and EF-M cameras in general).
➞ I also didn’t go over SD-Cards, but just get a Class 10 one (for SanDisk that’s silver and black, NOT blue); the older ones basically just have a slower write speed. That means if you shoot a lot of pictures in a row, your camera may give a pop up notice that it needs time to process your images. Just a little bit of a slower process!
➞ Also lighting can help your autofocus work better! That's just not usually my issue lol
