After we use the synthetic wax do we HAVE to use liquid latex? Could we use Elmer’s glue instead???

I would recommend liquid latex since it's made for fx makeup like this and is cheap on Amazon. It's also a bit more elastic than elmer's glue and has a quick dry time, but I'm not gonna tell ya how to life your life lol

Yea I'm allergic to latex so I tried elmers glue and it worked fine for me. :3

I love this and the technique was amazing! Just be sure to put down a base (such as latex) first before sculpting. I didnt do this my first time and ended up with a nasty burn on my face that wasnt special effects. And if you happen to be trying to take it off currently, use exfoliater! Best of luck

Definitely a good idea to test your reaction to wax! I prefer wax without the base so it doesnt pull out hair, and I'm actually a little more allergic to latex!

IF you have a good enough camera you could even pretend that the salt and sugar is crystallized snow and toss it in the air when taking a photo shoot

I actually just got fabric to remake that costume, so I definitely will! It probably won't be for a while though, since I'm travelling a ton and start school again soon! Hopefully by winter though!

I dont have the wax, and I'm 85 percent sure that my mom wont buy it for me, so I just use liquid latex. Also, I cut the bangs a little too short on my wig.... now it's not long enough...help...

Would you recommend this look for a con? Or would it run the risk of falling off all day? I feel like the burn is perfect but the crystals would need constant touch up.

If you use pros-qide as the adhesive they will stay on all day! I recommend getting the adhesive remover too because it really does stick on lol

These are from TTDEye but they have recently come under some scrutiny tbh! I now use uniqso or spookyeyes!

I know it's been a long time since you posted this but I had a question. So I'm planning on displaying villain todoroki to a con and I was wondering if just using sugar and eyelash glue would work for a less extravagant ice look? And I doubt my parents would let me put rock salt on my face lol. If you could comment back that I could be amazing!!💕

Sugar works too, I used a combo of a few grains of rock salt, some granulated sugar, and some flaky sprinkles! Mine is def mostly sugar!

I think from TTD Eye? They've recently had some criticism about their contacts causing infections, but Uniqso sells the same brands if you're worried about that!

Liquid latex still works, and you can mix it with a little toilet paper to give it some texture! I'd recommend looking up a tutorial for it! Synthetic Wax and liquid latex are both fairly cheap on Amazon!

The cheapest way to do his/her scar is to rub a bit of washable red paint on your face, or put chalk and blend it in 🤣🤣

Lol, if you use prosaide, that fx glue is pretty sturdy and I found it held on despite some sweating. The bigger issue I think would be rain, since it would melt the salt and sugar pretty quickly. Tastes good though lolol
