Nobody understands how deals are set. He was setting appointments which can be as quick as 10-15 minutes, and had the appointments set for his closers to go back and actually close the deal. 22 in a day is absolutely insane but it isn’t impossible.

I NEVER NEVER NEVER comment on videos. But I had to stop this at 17min to say I have the ultimate respect for this man. He said something that NO ONE SAYS OR DOES. “I believe in abundance this is all my good stuff” I have gotten more from the first 17min of this man than any other video I’ve seen. At this point people like him would be peddling the “secret” course they’re swearing by. Many thanks!!

I’ve been in Solar for 2 weeks now and leading a unit, and finally selling. I absolutely love that you separate days of knocking and then appointments. I’m working on balancing those aspects of knocking and selling in the same day, and it’s just a lot of pressure and confusion and hurrying around. I’m going to try this

They don't wanna buy from you because they aren't sold on you and or they don't trust you. The fear of lost always outweighs the need for gain. They still have uncertainty's. A confused mind always says no. You need to drop there defenses and flush out objections and address them. Building rapport is the sauce along side being seen as a professional with a solid company.

Here is how the top solar sales people do it. They have underneath them a small army of canvassers specifically for them individually setting them up, with back to back appointments. With internet and call center provided leads filling in some of the gaps, and finally some referrals filling the rest of the appointments. That’s how they do it. They aren’t 100 times better than you at the doors. No it’s sheer amount of man power underneath them. I’m not saying an individual rep won’t make money. If you follow the advice in this video you’ll easily clear 6 digits. I’m simply stating what separates the difference between a 6 digit average skilled rep to the top of the industry 7 digit sales repx

I was involved in solar sales like this for a short time. I say "short time" because the company focus was to sell very small PV systems for inflated prices, like $13/watt. The company used all these scam methods. Payback on PV is many, many years. The problems of waste are not addressed. Efficiency measures pay back in just months and make your home more comfortable, healthier and quieter. It's just easier to slap PV on a roof and wear 5-10 years of life off the roof in the process. Sadly, PV without fixing all the (70-90%) waste is a bit of a scam. You are just getting a discount on all the wasted energy and a worn out roof. But I guess the focus of this is sales and not benefits to homeowners.

That’s insane. Hopefully working for a trash company hasn’t tainted your view on the industry. We’re a locally owned and operated company, using tier 1 panels doing our own installs at $3/watt… 13 is nuts bro

@@kalebcook8405 PV is good, AFTER trimming the fat and cutting the waste. I'd like to find a "good" company to work with. When Tesla says they are installing for $1.50/watt are they using the same calculus as your company? Perhaps we can connect.
@cherishedmemories8094

$13/watt is fucking insane. The company I work for charges 3.50/watt, but our reps almost always negotiate down and give deals. We make good money but that’s because we’re out knocking like maniacs and closing so many deals. I think you find more predatory companies in states like Cali, Texas, and Florida since solar is a bit more over saturated there, where I’m at in the Midwest $13 a watt is unheard of.

How do I get in a local company or better company when they don’t have job offerings. I work for a huge corporate company and they don’t pay per sale well. Yeah I went into roofing d2d. I tracked all my numbers from a day, to a week, to the month. I noticed that I was getting 2x as many appointments set after 4pm than I did before. Then when you apply the law of 80/20, it's makes even more sense. 80 percent of people work 8-4. Knock when you market is home. That's marketing 101. I could care less about the 20% who are home when it costs more time and money to find those people. I became the #1 d2d rep out of 80 people in 3 states at that company.

Nope I’m calling major cap on this one bro…22 in one day, how? There’s only 24 hrs in a day including the time it takes to go from appt to appt lol.. unless he’s closing 8 deals at a time I don’t buy it… or did he have a bunch of old sits/referrals sign documents that day via email? Not only that but there’s no way he has enough time to properly explain how solar works to these homeowners… if he’s finessing these homeowners it might be possible, but those are the fires we have to deal with on the doors. Half of our job bro being an honest Solar rep is dealing with dishonest people… A lot of D2D reps are sick of these sort of pipe dreams bro… At the beginning of this podcast you mentioned that he was going to explain his tactics, but all he did during this was change the subject in a very narcissistic way. He didn’t give us any feedback on how he was able to sell 16 self-gens in a single day… this one is ridiculous. Some of us are trying to receive realistic values man. Depends who you work for! Some solar companies pay for (sit downs, no closes) some don’t

it has alot more to do with how your market is, if you’re in an untouched area. then yeah you’ll get 22 people, but if it’s been absolutely ran through you’ll be lucky if you get one. i’m in texas and everyone hates solar, and just door to door salesmen for that matter.

Everything you said is factually wrong. No such thing as an untouched area. Your perspective is not right for this job and you clearly didn’t watch or absorb the video

I really hope you picked up a book in the last year and really worked on yourself because that attitude is absolute trash. Your grandkids will forget your name because you never did a damn thing if you don’t fix that. I sell solar d2d in Dallas texas and I make 200k my first year in the industry. Quit whining he just said he got 22 in San Diego, a place that makes texas look like a walk in the park. I hope you figure it out bro, you’re better than that.

Big Freekin Deal ! So he had a fluke sales day . The chances of a Solar Sales Rep doing 2 /Two deals in a day , would be phenomenal.
