One thing I ran into during my research for California is that “certified farmers markets” require you to cook in a commercial kitchen. Well, the commercial kitchen in my city requires you to have $1 million of liability insurance to rent, which seems to be pushing over into the realm of a fully-fledged company.

Ohio you’re allowed to cook on site long as you follow the guidelines and you can also have a deep fryer. Also Florida does the only two states you can have deep fryers on the vending cart.

Kind of funny you mentioned Miami I didn’t always live here. I live here when I was a kid but I left and came back. Things are kind of different. I am scared to open up anything I hear people say don’t open up anything here because I don’t know what exactly to sell, you know I am very good at what I do. I’m older now used to work in Hotel. I wanna open up something on my own living Homested but with that diversity here in Miami I’m not sure what to open. Just not sure but thank you so much for your show. Appreciate it

"Just start" I need that I'm terrified of starting and failing. I already know what I want to sell I have my food handlers certificate I got an estimate on a food truck but I just haven't pushed myself to start. So great video great advice really helped!

I'm tired of working jobs I hate for terrible pay... I want to start a food service business. I see small food trucks around my area just KILLING it. They are ALWAYS busy and bringing in customers, and it's painful to see this happening while my other business continues to fail.... you will need the standard stuff like business license, permits from home you cant ship food online its against the law via cottage food laws. you cant repackage brand name candy and call it your own like say skittles buy in bulk and repackage with your name you have to find a "generic" candy like gummy bears, or licorice etc.

depends on your states cottage food laws some states allow selling to retailers but Costco will want a product made in a commercial setting with insurance, llc, or business licenses etc.

most ready made drinks of any kind are not allowed they fall under food service and this would be a different license and would need a commercial kitchen
