How to Sell Old Coins
So you’ve inherited or stumbled upon an old coin and it looks valuable, but you don’t know how to sell it. Selling a coin isn’t a difficult task as long as you’re patient. Before you can sell a coin, you need to use The Official Red Book or online resources to identify your coin and its value. Then, research coin dealers and try to find one who regularly deals with coins of similar material and value to the one you have. Handle your coins well and you’ll maximize the cash return on your investment.
Part 1 of 3: Valuing Coins
1. Identify the coin
2. Note the coin’s condition
3. Look up the coin’s value
4. Monitor auctions to find out how much your coin is worth
5. Get an appraiser to value coin collections
6. Group coins by value
Part 2 of 3: Finding Buyers
1. Speak to reputable coin dealers
2. Visit coin shows
3. Search for online coin dealers
4. Pick up coin collector magazines
5. Submit the coins to auctions
Part 3 of 3: Handling Sales
1. Choose buyers who give you a fair analysis
2. Have the coins evaluated by many buyers
3. Sell collections as a whole

there are apps take a photo it will tell u what it is and you can normally sell them through that also but still do some home work before u sell. but so house for identification
