I have about 150 Senegalese rope twists total on my head! My rope twists are 20 inches long with 8 inch curly crochet hair added to the ends of my twists. I cut the metallic gold thread into 40 inch strings adding 3 strings per rope braids in the back half of my head but only 2 pieces of gold thread in the front half of my head.

I can tell you now...when you start doing your own hair ..you will probably use two mirrors so you can see what you're doing. That's how I started...now I don't use mirrors unless I want the front to look a certain way. Also..your arms will be tired🤣🤣🤦🏾‍♀️. But its worth the try

The kanekalon hair I use is lightweight but other brands are different. Hope this was helpful and I always put info in my video descriptions 👍

Senegalese Twists last about the same time as box braids, 3 weeks to 2 months depending on your hair texture and hair care habits.
