I've been trying to figure out my granddaughter's hair. I would have thought 4b, but I can have conditioner in her hair, detangle a section, move to another section and that first section is tangled again. The tangling makes me think 4c but it doesn't shrink as much as 4c. And she has TONS of hair.

This is the argument i had with my mom cause she think she "knows" hair because she done a couple of braids and plaits on girld in the 90s. But when I LOOK at my hair, due to having protected braids my mom does them... I see different textures from my roots which are tightly coiled and can be hard to detangle. Hence i get a migraine eveytime she tries to part my head 💀 but as my hair grows with braids, its less coily and loose when natural no perms. So my scalp is 4c but the ends be all over the place so i can never have rhe "afro" look
