Very nice video! But you can also mention R:R to simplify the idea @Boss Habby. If a trader’s risk-reward is 1:2. Then when he risk $50, he would wants to get $100. And increasing lotsize for the same R:R with only a 20pips SL would give 1:4 R:R when a 10 pips SL is used. Great one 👍

Not really sure because i am a beginner but doing my lame man calculations, i am seeing a two way thing here: 1. if you use lower SL and higher lot size, you get more value on each pip but you won't last long if market is going against your trade. 2. If you use an higher SL and lower lot size, you get low value per pip but you last longer if market is going against your trade. Therefore I would pick no2 if i have a small account and no1 if i have plenty dollar in my account. *Note: please correct me if my insights are wrong i am here to learn

Gradually, the knowledge on money management is coming out. Money management is the only way to grow consistently. The formula is; Lot size = ( Risk Amount)/(SL x Pip Cost) For this video; Risk Amount is 5% of $1,000 = $50 SL = 20pips ( assumption) Pip cost = $10/pip (assumption) Substituting gives Lot size = ($50)/(20 x 10) Lot size = $50/200 Lot size = 0.25. The only problem here is 1. The assumptions on 20 pip SL. SL can be whatever amount and still lose only $50 on the trade because it's market structure that determines the suitabke number of pips for stops ( SL or TP) 2. The 2nd.assumption on $10/pip is not applicable in all pairs except where USD is the quote. USDCHF, USDCAD, USDJPY dont have $10/pip just like GJ, EJ, are around $7/pip. I just hope someone understands this.

Unless you only trade one pair using specific 20pips sL is a no no, why because Forex pairs have different volatility when it comes to pips, newbies will not understand this. Besides, the calculation you made only works for dollar pairs and USD must be the minor there eg like eurusd gbpusd. Always use a pip calculator to do the maths, and your SL should be dynamic.

Observation: You forgot to add the constant “10” sir. 0.25 X 10 X 20 I.e, lot size x 10 x pips. I be your student. Been following all your videos.

Sir have watched this video a couple if times. And I tried using it to calculate my own stop loss. I think u made a mistake in that lot of 0.25, it supposed to be 2.5 lots size multiply by 20 pips stop loss to give you -$50. Thanks ❤

No matter what the strategy is you can never time the market the only way and when i say THE ONLY way to actually trade is to do your own research like for example when i did my own research i knew that bitcoin would crash and i had a chance to short sell but i never did and there was a stock which i had ability to buy and i didn't SO DON'T HEAR PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET EXCEPT IF THEY ARE ACTUALLY LEGIT for example: Martin shkreli etc.
