There are many cases for and against battens or double chamber. A batten requires extra effort to install. A second chamber adds several more feet of seam and rail to a board. Seams that could potentially fail or leak. When producing a double chamber board, you are cutting a hole in the middle of an otherwise airtight board. Only to add a second airtight chamber. When you pack your bag, pay attention to where the fins are positioned. Line them up with a corner for extra space inside the bag, and be sure to store the bag fin corner up so they aren't squashed.
