Have you ever wondered how to set up a space, or a place, in your home to communicate with your spirit guides? Wonder no more. This quick video will cover all of the highlights of what to do, and how to do it. I will also share some of the reasons why certain things are done.

Grand Risings & wellness. I hope beautiful BLESSINGS come from your ancestors & spirit guides for your tutorial. I definitely thank you for clear straight to the point explanations. I watch/have watched various techniques over the past few weeks & have learned how to slow down, feel, see & listen to what my ancestors (whom I lovingly call “The Family”) want me to use for & on “their” alter. I wanted to have an ancestral & daily alter but now know & understand that I shouldn’t mix alters & “The Family” made it CLEAR that they want me to focus on their alter, I’m allowed to choose & obtain both tables & the coverings, but the attention is to be for them right now. I must say that I don’t mind & love listening to them. Your tutorials along with a few others are a tremendous help & guide. Again many thanks & blessings.

The song that's playing in the beginning is making me cry. It's a song that my 19 year old son would always play on violin and piano and it would always make me emotional how talented he is.... my son left me 11 months ago one night when I was sleep and took off to his dads... my ex husband who has tried so hard to turn my kids away from me all of their lives... he only lives 10 minutes away but my son never spoke to me again until 2 days ago when he called to tell me sorry and that he loved me... I heard this song at a store yesterday and wanted to cry now it plays again.... I have so many videos of my son playing that song. Anyway must be a reason so I'll replay your video over and over again, as it must be one I must take seriously. It has to be a sign Thanks 💕💕

Wow I like how you broke down the sugar in the coffee. Today I made a fresh cup of coffee for my Great Grandmother and out of nowhere she wanted sugar in it and I never done that before. Of course I do as I'm told, but now I know why she wanted that. Will give it to her from now on.

I set up my table. It was looking so clean and nice. Next morning I found a dead fly in the water and one on the table. So I scrubbed and cleaned everything putting out fresh water again. Next I wake up and there is a dead mosquito in the water. Facepalm.

LMAO. So, what *pesky* emotion/behavior is bothering you most (at that time)? It may still be bothering you. Look into your life for the metaphor of what is happening with your altar table. See what is similar in energy/feel and FIX it. Or, give it the attn it needs so you can resolve the issue/challenge/conundrum. It may not be that serious but your folks want you to take a look into it.

I’ve been working my Boveda for about a year now thanks to this video! Your voice is so calming and peaceful. Question… should I wear white when I approach my Boveda or is that a custom more for those who practice Lucumi?

Ase oo!! So happy you now have a 'formalized' way to communicate with your spiritual family! This is a blessing in an of itself. Wearing white is a sign of coming to your sacred space CLEAN and with pure intentions of communication, sincere conversation, gratitude and love. Wearing white lifts your vibration. Wearing white reflects back to your spirit what you want to put out, and also what you'd like to receive -- light and progress, insight and clarity in your life. So while there are MANY traditions who wear white (including Lucumi/Santeria, church deaconesses, church ushers, some monks, etc.), the real reason they wear white is the vibration and function of the color itself. Therefore, you could choose to wear whatever color you deem necessary for the conversation you want to have with your spirits. So, at times, you may feel the need to wear other colors/patterns. Thank you so much for this video. I saw a video that said that altars should never be set up in your bedroom yesterday and was just about to set up an altar today. What's your thoughts on this? Also heard it causes insomnia and lack

Having altars in your bedroom is not the greatest idea. It is disrespectful to your spirits/deities/etc. to undress, have relations, and all of the other things that one does in the bedroom. The space for your spirits should be elsewhere if at all possible. If, due to space constraints, you have to have your altar in the bedroom, it should be covered/shielded by a screen when you undress, or have relations.

Bless Up Queen! Finally, somewhat more better knowledge of the altar setups. By this I mean that I now know how to cleanse the altar by dashing certain drops of the Florida water, etc into the water. What I am not overstanding is if there is a difference between a Spiritual /or an Ancestor Altar and as a Protection Altar as well? I ask this because I set up 2 altars of which I thought one was my Ancestor Altar (now I keep hearing it as Spiritual) and the other as my Protection Altar (I thought this was Spiritual as well) which consists of a statue of St Michael (told that he's My Protector) and candles of a white one, St Michael and High John (and various others when needed: presently Santa Marta the Dominator and Court Case). I was going to learn how to create a Protection Jar for it and possibly My Ancestor Altar, providing the altars are OK.

There are many people who have more than 1 altar. And yes, each altar can have a different function/purpose. Sounds like you have an Ancestor Altar & what I like to call a Boveda, or Spiritual Altar. This Spiritual Altar is an altar where you can speak to your high vibrating spirit guides, or your principal spirit guide(s), or your high level ancestors from way back yonder who have lots of experience and wisdom to share. There are some altars that are in a corner, that have only a statue, and one or two, other items. These are very specific altars and you place them there for the spirits/energies that you connect with and they desire a space dedicated for them to them for you to commune with them.

@@Azurite22 Give Thanks! On my Ancestor altar I have candles with High John, Chango, Open Road and a statue of The Orishas. Is this OK or are The Orishas and Chango supposed to have a separate altar?

Kelvin Lao Prayer books commonly found at a Botanica. It is published by Original Publications. A blue cover and another one is a deep pink/fuschia color. Tons of prayers in them.

My water does not have bubbles in it, but it is crystal clear. I felt like they were not there so I asked them threw pendulum if the bubbles not there then does that mean they are not present. They told me even though there are no bubbles that they are still there.

Candy Finks Hi Candy, Absolutely correct! No matter which school of thought you choose, the ancestors are ALWAYS present. In my school of thought, the bubbles represent the ancestors removing/trapping the negativity in bubbles. In the other school of thought, the bubbles represent the ancestors being present and confirming/affirming what you have asked for.

Are you able to do the 5 or 8 glasses only when you are doing a tarot reading or should it always be like that?

It's a total of 7 or 9 glasses. And, it should always remain up if you're doing a reading, or not.

Alafia RealSimpleEarthJada. Our ancestors liked many things. Tobacco and alcohol are two things they love. If your ancestors are nudging you for either one, or a plate of mufungo -- give it to them. All the best, Azurite.

Whenever I try to leave a glass of water, it vaporizes after a few days and either leaves a nasty gel or an empty foggy glass. I don't see it as a sign or anything because I know it's just humidity or something. But it's SO FRUSTRATING. I started leaving a large water bottle instead which I also use to water my bamboo plant that rests on the altar. Is that bad? Also, I always get stressed about leaving food because everyone says to throw it out when done but as someone who doesn't have a lot of food at home and doesn't want to waste what I have I decided to start leaving non perishables. Like a tin of cookies that expires in 3 years, canned corn, collard greens, and sausages. And of course coffee, mints and candies. Thanks to one of your videos I know I can use the pennies, but do you think it's offensive to leave canned food? Is it bad to light the candle say "hey. Love you, miss you, here's some money" [summarization] then walk away and leave the candle burning all night? Gosh I have so many questions @_@! Thank you for your videos!

Hello Ming. First question: How long are you leaving the glass of water? The idea is to change the water fairly frequently. It is your medium of communication with the unseen realm. So, if it’s hot & humid, change the water every 2 to 3 days. Check the water about 2 hours after you put it down. See what it looks like. Let me know what you see. Sometimes you get a message in the water within minutes of putting it down. Lol! I need to do a whole video for all your questions! I think I might. 🙂

Hello. Can you tell me a good work to do when his interfering family keeps breaking us up? They even got the wedding to be canceled. A very accurate reader also sees us reconciling yet months later everything falls apart again because people are doing magic against us. One of the family members is a psychic and sees any work trying to be done to reconcile us and she stops it.

There are two schools of thought. 1) the ancestors are present and letting you know they are standing with you protecting you, 2) the ancestors are cleaning/clearing and removing negativity from you and your space Either way, it is clear that the ancestors have heard your prayers/petition and are present. You must use your cowries to ask them which one it is. Or, use your intuition. Bless.

The boveda is not for your ancestors. Your ancestral altar is for ancestors.

Cheers for this, I been tryin to find out about "spiritual meaning" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Banulian Lonameron Breakthrough - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my buddy got excellent success with it.
