You have a great way of teaching beginners but I may have found a quicker way... add a browser source and then add the blanked out Browser Source URL from the bottom right of the alerts screen on your twitch Dashboard - from there you can bring the alerts to the top of your source list and then mess around and play with the alerts as you set up and preview in OBS... I found this way to be very quick as I already had pictures and a few sound samples downloaded for some of the alerts I wanted to tweak a little more. 🙌🎮 GAME ON!

@@CpawsMusic Yeah, I do have a question for you. I noticed that my twitch channel had follow bots and when I go live there's a lot of deactivated people from years ago. I'm not sure of the reason these promos come to my channel I don't know why I don't know, how to get rid of it. I got rid of the other bots or whatever but I've been growing my channel for so long bro and I don't like that this keeps happening when I go live and I keep getting message by like promoters and self promos what's the best way to deal with that to have like authentic unique real followers.

Thanks for the Tutorial :-) Im searching for the host-alert settings but cannot find anything. In your Video you had a file "darkmode-alert-host", consequently i think that you might be able to give some information on how to add the specific alert to your box ?

Thanks for this Video! Had a question, let's say I wanna live stream setting up the Stream and wanna watch part of your video while streaming. Is that not doable for copyright reasons, is it okay to do that, not just with your video but just other youtube videos in general?

That's usually where copyright issues come into play and it's a pretty big grey area when it comes to fair use policy. So I can't say for certain since everything depends on a case by case basis unfortunately. Usually a rule of thumb is that you want to transform that content in some way like adding commentary or other additional things but it really depends on a case by case basis

I'd recommend trying to double click the browser source url you added into obs and clicking refresh cache button, if that doesn't help then shoot a message to StreamElements support :D

They should show up, the file size or type might not be accepted, i'd recommend trying different options

Hello, I've been looking all over for a solution to the problem I am having with StreamElements and alerts not working in OBS studio. I had no issues before, but recently no alerts show up now (both visual and sound) on stream and they also don't show when using OBS studio to test them. However, emulating the alerts from the StreamElements website does show them when OBS is open. Any possible idea on how to fix this?

I have a question. How do I setup an alert for *me*? Example: I get a new comment and I can have something flash (or maybe beep). I want to build a device with a little led in it that will flash when I need it to and I’ve yet to find any framework to support this. Even if I had alerts setup in a traditional way, I am playing my game on my TV so I don’t see them :/

bro, how safe are stream elements and botrix when you connect your account to them (for multichat or alerts)? I am just so on the fence because they are asking for so much control on your youtube / google account.

It might be under the sounds when you go to upload one, but if not, then yeah you'll need to make a new alertbox

Not sure, I'd double check you're uploading the sound to the correct section and not images accidentally. Otherwise worst-case-scenario, use an online converter to convert the sound file to a .wav file if it isn't already. @@ghostfalcon999

If they show up on your end and in OBS then they should appear on stream as well, but I'd recommend contacting StreamElements support since they can give you specifics for troubleshooting :D

they won't show up over your game, you'll want a second monitor to see them appear in obs
