Audient I want to commend you for doing these types of videos. I’ve been saying for years the audio companies/manufacturers should be doing the how to videos. Thank you for this!!! By the way today I ordered my new id44 interface. This is why I’m here 🤠

Hello Audient! I love my id44… but… I’m really surprised at how low the general volume is even when I twirl the large knob and have the levels very close to the top red row of lights. I’ve even thought that maybe I need some kind of amplifier between the 1L and 2R outputs and my Adam TV8’s - which can handle much more volume than the id44 seems to put out. Mind you, the volume at the top isn’t too bad for listening at a regular level. But many times my friends and I want to listen to what we’ve recorded… and the level just doesn’t fill the room. I have the speakers all the way up. My little Focusrite was capable of being louder than this! It’s absolutely terrific in all respects… I just wish it had more power. Is there something I’m not doing that’s in the Mixer ID section? Thank you!

The max output level should be +18dBU which should be pretty loud on most active speakers. Can you please send a screenshot of your iD mixer to support@audient.com and our team can help you with any potential setup problems?

Is it possible to listen to the master output on two pairs of monitors simultaneously connected to the four line outputs, plus a subwoofer connected to one of the headphone outputs? Can this routing be done via software? Thanks for the clarification!

Hello, if the 4 line outputs are all set to Main MIx in the routing matrix then all four speakers will be fed at the same time. You can run a sub via the headphone output, but it's not possible to bypass the headphone volume control so you'd have to match the volume manually which will be inconsistent and time-consuming. It may be better to look for a 2-channel S/PDIF DAC that you can connect to the optical output of the iD44 to feed the subwoofer instead. If the S/PDIF output is set to Main mix, then it will also follow the main volume control.

Is the Mixer not opening at all or is it acting in a strange manner? Is the iD44 still passing audio in and out of the unit.

I connect my Beyers Dynamic Headphones in my MK44 but I can't get it to work! on ID My ID window only has a System Panel to choose from & does not show an available option of Show Mixer. The Show Panel shows 2 Headphones icons highlighted with outputs 4-6 & 7-8. What am I doing wrong?

My Mac mini M1 does not recognize the ID44 ... My ID software doesn't show features like "show mixer" or "set asio buffer"... I've downloaded the last one !

This is usually caused by a connection issue. Can you please try a different USB port or different USB cable and see if this resolves the problem?

What’s different between id and evos interfaces ?

The main difference is the pre-amps they use. The iD range uses our Class-A Console Pre-amp design which is super musical and sounds great for tracking instruments, whereas the EVO uses a super clean design that is great for voice work and podcasting. Both will give you great-sounding recordings, they just have slightly different format factors.

Before i buy this and some other EVO-stuff: In my Windows menu i choose Sonarworks to be my standard sounddevice. I'd use 4 line outs for 2 sets of monitors both Sonarworks callibrated. How does Audient handle Sonarworks? If not it is a major dealbreaker....

Yes, out interfaces will work with Sonarworks and you can select between your different outputs, just ensure you are using the ASIO driver in Sonarworks.

Hi, i recently bought the ID44 MkII, but ID isn't working on my MacBook (M1) pro 2021. Just opened once, and it was like a browser pop-up window for ARC, not the mixer software at all; I re-installed it 3 times without any luck, it's so frustrating!

In this case, go to the menu bar, click the small 'iD' icon and then select "Show Mixer" and this should bring the mixer up. If you are still having problems, please send a message to support@audient.com

I have bought Adam Audio 7TV Active speakers and I connected it exactly like shown in the video to my Audient ID44 MK2. Still I get no sound on my monitors. I have an XLR from monitors with JACK to the LEFT and RIGHT. No sound but I get sound on my headphones. The problem is to find out if it's the monitors which could be DOA(dead on arrival) or it could be that my audiointerface has some issues with the these specific channels. Any one who have had same issues or could help me to solve this? Would be appreciated!

When you press the speaker button to adjust the speaker volume, is the speaker button flashing that could indicate that the speaker output is muted? If so, press down the main control wheel to unmute the outputs. Otherwise, it may be a software routing problem in your iD mixer, so we can check this, could you send a screenshot of your setup to support@audient.com and out team can check this out?

Followed this sequence exactly on a mac, but the ID44 does not show up anywhere. Not in preferences as a sound output, nor in utilities>audio midi set up, nor as an option in my daw.

I'm sorry to hear that. If the unit isn't being recognised then this is likely a USB connection issue. Can you please try a different USB port or a different USB cable on the unit to rule out issues here. If you are using a USB hub or adaptor, can you instead connect the unit directly to the Mac in case this is affects the conenction

Send a copy of the Audient ID44 mkii and EVO16 to Julian Krause too to review. He has a KZfaq channel with lots of followers and a thorough scientific analysis of audio interface. It will give these gears more credibility with end users. It's better than doing give aways

Hi Audient! I have an id44 mkii. Does plugging it into, say, a power strip for example make any difference? Asking because I notice you said "plug it directly into your wall power supply".

No that shouldn't make any difference, its fine to use an extension lead if required

Does this have the same number of indents in the ID/Master control as the previous model. I found it to be unusable when trying to write automation. A smooth pot would be much preferred.

The Pot does still have the indents. The sensitivity of the scroll control can be adjusted in your OS's mouse settings however to make automation control easier!

The iD44 uses a USB-C connection with USB2.0 data speeds which are more than enough for real-time audio.

my ID44Mk2 is only one month old and I started to experience popping sound, input signal lights for all four inputs are popping as well. It pops even just connected to my laptop. Please helpas I dont know the reason why suddenly acting weird.

@@Audientworld thank you! I think it may be an issue with my daw or something with routing. When I send to 3L output it plays on my left speaker instead of coming out to my outboard. 😂 My speakers are hooked up to 1 & 2 so I have no idea how that happens.

In the iD mixer, ensure that the fader for the DAW 3+4 channels is pulled all the way down, this will stop the audio also being sent to your speakers.
