This video is about how to create new content for youtube, twitch or what ever service you want using a capture card! This capture card is linked above. They are great for streaming and recording content!!!! Steps to becoming an influencer!!!

Thanks so much for having this up! I've been wanting to stream from my consoles for ages, but the idea of figuring out a capture card and setting it up was really daunting. I went hunting for info on a whim and found this. You explain things in a way that's really easy to follow, and I feel confident that I can now go through with the process myself. Much appreciated!

Nice, simple video on the device and some options! I got the awesome EVGA XR1 Lite budget capture card as I wanted to start getting more control over my streams from my PS4 (just as I have with my laptop). Now I can easily set thumbnails, titles, descriptions, and tap into my stream overlays which are a must for long streams! Thanks again.

It made sense once I realized I needed an additional software. I'm not 100% sure but I feel like you said "OSB" and that made me think of plywood. Once I realized it was "obs" it was pretty easy to download it and go from there. Thank you tho.

Most capture cards do not take the load off a CPU. They just passed the signal through in a format the computer can use.

Now, when you are not streaming and just playing on your normal tv or monitor does the quality drop to what the capture card is capable of? For example: my xbox outputs 4k hdr, if my my card does 1080p will my tv only get 1080p while the card is connected?

How would you set up a capture card to interface with a Webcam to get 4K recording ? I am looking at the Sony ZV1F as a Webcam, which for streaming only outputs 720P. I am told introducing a capture card is a workaround, so video saved in OBS can be 1080P or 4K

In that OBS can that be made full screen so you can effectively use your laptop monitor as a monitor for a ps or xbox, and there will be no lag or tearing?

Question, if I hook up this to my console and TV like you showed can I leave it there and just plug in my computer whenever I want to record? I ask because I did just that. My computer is not plugged into the capture card but I'm not getting any image on my TV. So does the computer have to be connected as well just to get an image on my TV?

Bro this would be helpful except my qgeem wont display my playstation system capture whatsoever. instead of simply showing up as it did for you here all it shows is obs virtual camera and there is no other option despite having it all set up the same way i did when i streamed with this same capture card 6 months ago. any ideas?

So how do you get the capture card to work I have it plugged into my computer the USB port but how do you get it to work through an HDMI port for the picture since you obviously have to plug in your PS4, PS3 your Nintendo switch in an HDMI Port just to get a picture to begin with on your TV so how can you plug it in to your TV without seeing your video game because that has to be in a completely different port??? This is the issue I can never understand when putting these things together.

Thanks teach, I’ve watched your great videos for years about ark, so was pleasantly surprised to find this in relation to capture cards as I decide to embark on becoming a streamer, I have one query though if you are able to answer please; can I relay the hdmi input and output through the same pc? I haven’t got another one and want to ease the strain on my graphics system, it would save my having to buy a tower gaming pc in addition to my laptop if I can. Many thanks in advance

I use a dual monitor setup with my pc, so do I connect the capture card to either of those then, while theyre connected to the pc? Where it says "to your TV or monitor" I guess thats the monitor I play the game from the console?

Do I need to plug my monitor thru this card.. because I am using a monitor that only has HDMI 2.0 which cannot fully utilized my monitors 165hz refresh rate and I want to use all of it. I was thinking if I can plug this to my HDMI port on my PC and then just leave it as that and will it be detected like normal?

Do I need this if I want to stream from my PC? Not from an external source like xbox or playstation. Couldn't I just use my GPU to stream? Or does it lower the strain on the GPU if I use a capture card.
