If you turn up your amps and wire speed a little bit you will be able to get even more consistent weld beads that are fully welded to both pieces being welded. I really enjoyed the fabrication of the stand. It came out awesome.

Maybe coat the anvil with some linseed oil. Then you will keep the black and avoid the flashrust. Good job. 👍

The body of the vise is most likely wrought iron. It does not react the same to bluing as carbon steel. Some spray on rust converters will actually make it look like blue carnival glass...pretty neat effect. Anyway to get the best result from bluing it requires a good coat of light oil to lock it in, so to speak.

It's a mouse hole. Anvil dogs are much better than a chain. It's probably a few hundred years old.

Excellent video and very good base for the anvil, but I have a question: wouldn't it be better to have a larger base area to achieve greater stability??? Well, it seems to me that in this way (vertical parallelepiped) it is a bit unstable.

Great work dude! i have a question. i have a set of knives that are poor quantity. handles of three knives are broken. so, would you use those blades for your projects? or i just throw them in a garbage. thanks
