Before you can rip through the sky, you need to make sure your quadcopter has an "arm" switch setup! In this video I'll show you how to set up an arming switch on the Flysky FS-i6X transmitter with the Eachine Wizard X220 FPV quad using the Betaflight configurator. These steps will be just about the same for FlySky FS-i6 and FS-i6S radios, and the principals here apply to every modern FPV quadcopter that I can think of!

Thanks for this video Adam. Your videos really help beginners and make it easier for them to progress in the hobby without having to search the internet hours to find out the basics, (which are overlooked by most rc channels) Also great to see videos on flysky entry level radios and set them up (which is often where many beginners start). 95% of the videos out there target people who have been building and flying for years, it's great to see you make videos for the beginners. hi there i done all steps but when switch arm button but in drone motore dosent spin at all just make sound that arm switch is on then when try to fly only some motore works but its then its stops can you please me im iew in fpv really need help i am using same f3 board and turnigy tyg i10 reciver

I could use some major help.... i have bouned my fly sky radio to my reciever but when I connect it to betaflight nothing happens.... i have done some trouble shooting... is there anything I should try?

My f4 flight controller works fine in betaflight, but it doesn't respond to the motors when fully armed. The receiver tab shows that my transmitter stick motions respond. The motors tab shows the motors responding in betaflight using there variable sliding switch. I don't know why the motors don't run/respond using my transmitter. Please help. The flight controller firmware is MATEKF405. The 4-in-ESC is using BL_S firmware with DSHOT600 protocol.

Getting about 2.5km range with 40+ rssi. Still going to modify turbowing position to be able to use port for sims.

cool thanks for this. after working towards the goal i have it arming and spinning motors in betaflight along with stick movements. green light on vista and receiver. green light on transmitter. video feed in goggles at my desk. sweet. unplug everything. screw props onto motors. mount components and maybe i nicked the camera cable in the process unknowingly. go to a field. quickly realize i cannot arm and low power mode unable to record in goggles and no video feed happening. like wut.

plugged into usb can arm. i jumped the pwr leads on my radix2 fc, and per the instructions had it wired to vtx+, which wasnt powering. powering off battery leads directly as following other instuctional videos out on how to wire the caddx vista, does this conflict with my arming protocol, as i have it selected in modes and all works when connected to betaflight. blessings.

@@lyndajones1133 what transmitter and receiver are you using? Also, "low power mode unable to record" is a common inconvenience with the vistas due to lack of cool when there is no airflow to cool it down. Once you arm and have the props spinning you should be able to record.

Can you use Cleanflight to set up the ARM switch also or do you have to use Betaflight?

You can do the same thing on cleanflight, but that configurator is obsolete now. Everyone just uses betaflight now.

When I switch the aux to on position, 4 motors are turning with no balance. First one turns around 1200, second turns around 1300 etc.

Hi! Is the quad in auto level mode? If so, this is normal. Try using the betaflight controls to spin up all motors at once to see if they spin up evenly.

Question I bought a random trs to trrs adapter from eBay. Will it work it’s brand new. Does any trs to trrs converter make you use microphones on your phone ? I have the wizard x220 and I got a flysky FS-i6X with the FS-IA6B, I setup everything in betaflight and it should work but for some reason when I try to arm nothing happens only the red light blinks and thats it, I can spin the motors in betaflight just not with the controller

so i had arming for the swa switch but that switch was also turning on trainer mode so I switched trainer mode to some other switch and it works but then after flying for a bit one of the esc's caught fire so I got some new ones. Thanks for everything!

Hi, my quad don’t response to throttle from transmitter when arm instead it remain on constant speed, but the yaw, pitch and roll working perfectly. Is there any setting I should do ? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks! You as well! I found this Atom V2 manual docs.google.com/document/d/1zT_LAbNWP8edU813GhpSn6dZ2wrR0J0CP_KyM7wGYyw/pub, and it looks like they were using cleanflight at the time. What I would do is just try flashing the flight controller with a new version of Betaflight firmware.
