Still no luck even after following your instructions. NEO-GEO shows up but even after changing th neogeo.zip to to one that was 1.3mb from 234kb nothing works and only shows pifba and lr-fba-next.

The official documentation just says drop your bios named neogeo.zip into the roms folder (you shouldn't have to mess with the bios folder) - which is similar to how to you setup mame. I'm running 4.2 - I do this, but still no luck - the error I get is: RetroArch [ERROR] :: Failed to load content. RetroArch [ERROR] :: This core requires a content file. I found RetroPie 4.2 is running FBA 0.2.97.39 - some people are like oh you have to download the reference set roms - which is a 25 gig file - I guess I'll let everyone know tomorrow. Anyhow I think your video needs to go a bit more in depth on how to actually solve this... (like where did you get these mystery files) - as this will only work with a specific romset and version of fba.

Having the right Romset is key. I've only had trouble getting Ironclad to work

Doesn't seem to work. NeoGeo shows up as well as the game I put in there, but when I go to run the game it acts like its booting up, then backs right back out..

I have the latest version of Retropie (4.0.2) but it doesn't seem to include lr-fba-next, just lr-fba. It's not under optional packages either ! Can anyone help? Thanks in advance

if it does not work, your neo geo file might be corrupted and you should look for another, cause this works

Hi, can get games to run, but my PS3 controller doesnt work. No matter what i press, nothing happens. PS3 Controller works fine in Snes, Mega Drive/Genesis, N64, PSX etc, etc. But Not on this Neo Geo emulator. Can anyone help? Thanks

Hey ETA prime I'm currently running retropi 4.2 and I have neo geo installed and at first I thought everything was working great until I entered a coin and the game speed up twice as fast it's really getting on my nerves and I fear it can damage the pi have you experienced this and if so do you know how to fix it? -thanks

hi out 327 Neo geo roms i managed to run only 3 games plus none of Metal slugs work all i don't know if my roms bad i left it as u said plus added the bios in roms section as well Running Raspeberry Pi 3 with Retro pie 4.1 thanks for any advice

That bios file no longer seems to exist. I've tried several with multiple ROM file combinations, the magic bios set can't be downloaded anywhere!

The whole Bios things are confusing on the Pi.. I see the forums.. I saw the link you have..without network.. can you just copy and paste the file into the bios?

doesnt work for me.... every video on this ive found says to do the exact same thing and i've done it several times and it does not work i dont get it

i put the bios in every folder i possibly could. The emulator shows up, the rom shows up, i click on the rom and it takes me back to the menu. No error, just wont load. Any ideas?

I have put the roms in the neogeo folder. The games show up on both the neogeo and mame emulator. is there a way go remove the game from the the mame emulator?

Your video is awesome and helped me a whole lot. My only problem is now that my main controller is controlling two players. No matter which game I picked it will automatically have two players and both players are controlled by one controller. I tried the Retropie Wiki , but there is no answer. I was wondering what emulator did you use or is there anything I missed in the set up for Neo-Geo that I missed. Thanks.

I have 3 different neogeo.zip file size. 40k, 1.2mb and 1.4mb. Non of them have worked and I notice in the video tut you have 1.3mb Guess I need to find your copy of the bios.
