I have followed the install process, after logging in, I am getting the infinite circle loading and nothing is poping up with games etc. Any help please.

all good, needed a reset, does seem a bit of input lag, my net is good, 600mb full fiber. @@ModsOnSteamDeck

Can I play red dead redemption 2 which I own on Xbox on my steam deck away from my home while I’m offline ? Or will the XBplay app not open because it’s gonna require internet connection?

maybe too late to give you the answer. Xcloud only plays games available on their library and RDR2 is not there. If you buy RDR2 on steam then you can play on steam deck or any other pc you might have. You can play offline. About xbplay and internet connection: you always gonna need it because the games are being streamed to your local pc (deck).

I don't own an Xbox so I was hoping this would work for me. But no, my issue is when I try to login, I get an error message that says "failed getting consoles, enable remote features on your console." It's enabled on my Steam Deck though. Proton is turned off. I'm about to give up and refund after 2+ hours.

That message is just a warning. Cloud gaming will work without a console on this app. If clicking a the cloud button doesn't start a stream, its likely you have the PC only version of gamepass. This app does require a console version of gamepass (since its for console games).

I made sure to be in close proximity of the router and have a fairly decent internet connection. Also make sure you choose your closest server from the list show in the video. Good luck 👍🏻

If you still have this issue, you may have to go into desktop mode, boot the xbplay app up through steam, and make sure it isn't muted in the audio tab. This should be a rare thing that happens but if it does, that should solve it.

using xreal glasses the latency is nothing in new games.

I just play xbox games on ROG Ally if you have one. It's awesome but Bro starfield runs great on ROG ally at 1080p ultra 40 to 55 fps some drops to 30 in new talantis etc. So it's not co's the game is unoptomised. It is because Steamdeck is too weak to play it. I have 2 steamsdecks too so am not hating on SD. But yeah the games pretty well optomised on my ryzen 9 5900x and Rx 6800 gaming PC and has been since launch Same with the ROG Ally. It was only unoptomised for Invidia GPU's (now fixed btw) not AMD APU's or GPU's or CPU's

The ROG is definitely more powerful than the steam deck in terms of the objective hardware (outside of the Starfield discussion), but the game is poorly optimised still imo for how it looks overall. There are some amazing scenes in some parts, but other areas can look a bit meh imo.
