I just finished watching cleetus' video of 4-linking the corvette and looked for a video explaining 4-link suspension. The first video I watched had a lot more views but I had no clue what he was talking about. You do a great job at explaining it in a way any one can understand.

Great explanation. One fundamental thing I would add in understanding the c/g is that yes, if you could hang the car by the CG it can balance level but more importantly you can place the car in "any" position and it will remain in that position.

Literally modded my diff mounts and used the same baseline calculator and made adjustments last week!! Took the car out to some back roads and took some slow-mo video off the trans brake. Definitely separation at 168% Can’t wait to get it back to the track early next year. Good video Broomy 👌🏼

Thanks for this! Very informative! I'm running a factory 3 link basically but with adjustable arms inside a subframe, makes me think about moving the arm locations on the subframe.

All drag race cars hit tires unevenly the right rear tire hits harder than the left..this happens when the left front tire comes off the ground it causes a Is twisting motion causing the right rear to hit harder than the left tire.

I have a rally car and I want more rear suspension travel. I could mount the shocks on the side of the axle instead of on top as it is currently. What is the effect on axle geometry if I do this?

Would using the eccentric shaft height be a good substitute for camshaft height Broomy or nah?

It’s sort of what I used from memory. I can work it out exactly using trigonometry anyway, so might do it one day. All these numbers are just numbers anyway. Nothing counts for real world testing.

@@BroomysGarage Before I forget, with the weight, only the SP was 1220kg, generally they were between 1270kg and 1340kg, depending on year and spec, so really, you've taken out closer to 200kg or more. 👍
