But that fix does not turn on VRR on my PS5. It still reads VRR off, and the home screen of ps5 says 60hz HDR. Am I doing something wrong? I am using an HDMI 2.1 cable as well.

I’ve got a Samsung soundbar connected using optical but can’t get sound from TV and soundbar simultaneously. It’s one or the other. I’ve got the Hisense E7H model. Thanks for these settings

Summarizing, the enhanced options everybody is looking for were available for me only when I switched the input to the PS5 console itself. I was searching for them in the normal menu for ages before I switch to the PS5 and then pressed the options button the remote with the three lines, the menu opens up with more options then.

It’s a gaming video so I already showed that, i don’t ever use TV speaker and they are tiny. Buy a some HDMI ARC compatible sound bar and it will change the whole experience

I'm rocking a U8H right now. Playing Demon Souls on PS5. I got everything on except VRR, can't figure out how to turn it on. I have my PS5 VRR setting set to automatic. But I can't figure out how to turn on VRR, maybe my games are not supporting it? I dunno.

Does it matter? I'm in HDMI 1. Doesn't specify if there's a certain port to use HDR.

@@TechSteve issue resolved. The format hdmi tab is not under the settings button where it should be instead it is on the menu icon that is a vague box with two lines on it.

When I switch the hdmi format to enhanced, the TV says I have a weak or no signal. Any idea how to fix this? I'm thinking maybe try moving the HDMI to another slot?

Hey Steve, I'm from india and have the exact same tv. But i dont see any gamezone settings. And motion smoothness is greyed out in every picture preset. Any idea how to enable motion smoothness and why i dont see a gamezone setting. Thanks in advance.

That’s a different region, if you have a menu button it has 3 lines on the remote. Change to the input and press that. Also some regions use vidaa os not google tv so it may have different options…

I have some kind of enhanced hdmi in the settings that I have activated. And the vrr is set to automatic on my ps5. Maybe it’s activated now 😅

HDR only enables when it detects HDR content automatically

No, why would you want to hurt your content by overriding its native signal, if you’re completely set on it, you can use a ps5 and check HDR always on and use the apps on it. Smh 🤦🏽‍♂️
