Thanks - great to hear you have started with HA - I have not done this in a while - but yes it can be done - why don't you install the HA image on your pi, and then install octoeverywhere on that? might be easier to maintain. - thanks for watching, good luck with your project!

Any update on how to add WiFi? Nothing seems to work for me. I’m using the raspberry pi 5 with home assistant 12.3. Won’t connect to WiFi at all.

Start with a wired connection, - check out this thread to enable wifi afterwards! - community.home-assistant.io/t/guide-connecting-pi-with-home-assistant-os-to-wifi-or-other-networking-changes/98768

I've tried doing this process twice with the software loading the HA software to the SD card and finalizing it but when I plugged it to the monitor to see, nothing even came up, however trying to "burn" on the SD card another software like Raspberry PI's OS works fine, any ideas? Was really hoping to use my Raspberry PI 4 for a HA server.

Are you using the same SD card for the other OS? Very often there can be issues with SD cards - what are the lights on the PI doing when you boot HA, is there activity?
@SezarOroo

@@yoyoTechKnows Yes I'm using the same SD card for the other OS, it's a 16GB SD card. I don't see any activity on the PI (only the red power led turns on - speaking when it's loaded with HA). I think I'll give it a try with another SD card I have here and see if there's any difference.

@@SezarOroo I think another card might help - it does not sound like its booting at all off that card - you would see some lights etc if it was working - but something went wrong.

Does not work as simply as you suggest. I have done the Pi bit and now booted it. I don't think that it is on the wifi for a start!

Wifi is a bit tricky - I would suggest starting with a wired connection, and then moving to wifi if you want - but.....HA is better if you keep it wired for max response time - thanks for watching!
