Summary: As you know in previous video we have seen the Ikea DIRIGERA and dimmer setup in Ikea Home Smart app and HomeKit. One main disadvantage of ikea dimmers are not being exposed in HomeKit.
In this video, let's check out Philips hue dimmer with hue hub together to see HomeKit and hue app settings for automations.
Good news! Hue dimmer buttons are showing up in HomeKit successfully, so you can set them up in HomeKit for any HomeKit products and scenes to automate your smart home devices.
Moreover, you can use both apple HomeKit automations and hue automations as long as they are not interfering, it should work flawlessly, meaning you can combine your hue scenes via hue button while you can set other HomeKit automations for dim buttons in HomeKit.

Do you know if it is possible to connect two switches to one lamp? In case of rooms with two doors would be needed

Yes you can do that. I set two switches as exactly same for each button to be able to use them in different location with the same routine/flow

Thx. Do you mean you Can use Ikea buttons if you use Ikea bulbs with hue bridge ? I thought Ikea buttons were not recognized by hue bridge.

Unfortunately ikea switches are not exposed like hue switch on any platform such as Apple HomeKit or Alexa. There is a workaround how you can use ikea dimmers if you have ikea bulbs via hue bridge but again they connect to the bulbs and not exposed to apps. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nMqWrKl_17yylqs.html

What is homekit equivalent for Android ? I have Alexa, hue essentials.

You can consider using google home app, or Alexa app. Google home app is nicely integrated with android so you can use voice commands and other triggering mechanisms

Hey there! I came across a similar issue when I installed a new Ikea bulb in one of my rooms after this video. To fix it, I had to restart both my Hue bridge and my Apple HomeKit device, which was an Apple TV in my case. Hopefully this helps!
