Thank you, this worked like a charm. In the case of the T1, I actually prefer two identically coloured lights over a 'scale' red/green setup. The latter has a practical purpose for full scale pilots in busy airspace, but not so much in RC.

I have now idea if this is known, but you can select more than one LED at a time by Ctrl-Clicking on them (like multi-slection in a file manager). That way it's much easier to e.g. set "Larson Scanner" for a whole strand of LEDs.

Thank you for this video. I have a Iflight drone that was made for betaflight and I want to use Inav. My leds didn't work, but with your video I think now I can make it work.

So just for all of you using the LED mode some controls: Click, hold and drag to put down a line of LEDs in coloring mode, also drag to select multiple LEDs in a line, holding control while clicking allows you to select multiple points at once. I hope that makes it a little easier.

The first led on my setup flickers white. I tried a 1n4001 diode but it only reduced the brightness and produced the same problem. I had to remove the leds. Shame it wouldn't work properly because I spent about 20 hrs modeling and printing the esc/led mounts for the quad I'm building

Really wish INav and bf would add a slow blink, more or less like a beacon.

So when wiring, you can link together in any order, and tell the processor that order to make it work? As in your display where left is first, right being second, and so forth, or you physically have signal going to left, then right, tail, nose, and bottom sequence?
@Painless360
@Painless360 2 жыл бұрын
Yep, the wiring order can be anything you want. The wiring layout in the LED tab just lets you place them where you have them installed so you can 'see' where they are on the model when you set then up and use handy if you want to use the orientation options too... Happy flying!

I got two 2812ARM connected to a 2812LED controller and via PWM (connected directly to a servo output or PWM port on the RX) it works to change their colors.. So I thought just connecting the 2812LED controller to my Matek F765WSE would allow me to control those LEDs seperately but it seem to be impossible at all. So do I understand it right after watching this video that I can connect the 2812ARM LED stripes directly to the LED port from the F765WSE and then am able to individually set up all 12 LEDs from that two 6-LED-stripes individually in INAV? My idea was to have two stripes on each wing (one on top and one on the bottom) to simulate the orientation and strobe lights properly.

Not sure, I've only used the WS2812 stuff here. Best of luck!

@@Painless360 I just tested it and you can indeed directly connect the 2812ARM to the LED port on the Matek FC, daisy-chain multiple of them and configure them individually in INAV. This is perfect. Only issue left is that I need to connect the right wing in serial from the second 2812ARM of the left wing. But I guess I will just steal ground from the servo for the left wing so I can use the LED ground pin for the DOUT of the second LED module on the left wing since the AR Wing Pro only has 6 pin connectors on the wings but that should work out! 🙂 Thank you for your quick answer though, hope my research helps you as well! Watching your videos for years already and they are always very useful!

How to control ws2812 after CC3D board is brushed into INAV?
@Painless360
@Painless360 2 жыл бұрын
I'd check the CC3D stuff in the project. It hasn't been supported in INAV for a long time and before support was retired the project removed certain features to make it fit... Best of luck

I got the Heewing T1 aswell. Using the F405-WSE. However, even after following your tutorial, i can not seem to get the LEDS to have a color different than white... Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Sounds like something isn't setup right. What troubleshooting have you already done!?
@ObinnaEke

@@Painless360 Well, at first the led's didn't work at all. So I then checked the connection on the board and made sure LED strip was enabled in the CLI which it was not. Didn't save somehow. Then i connected both wings. Did a reboot and the LEDS turned on, but white. Good...I thought... But for some odd reason, even if i turn led strip off in the settings they still stay lit, and I also had assigned a switch to turn it off...Which doesn't do anything either. And also cannot change the colors in the INAV configurator the way you did. Don't really know what is causing this issue...

So I assigned the LEDS to a switch so I could turn them off... When they are off. Turning them on works with the switch, but nothing else does... not even turning them back off...Very weird behavior

White LEDs are usually seen then they are getting a signal but not any colour information. I'd check how you have it setup in the LED tab.. Best of luck!
