DIY canvas tote bag tutorial. Easy to make tote bag sewing tutorial that I demonstrate, complete with cutting sizes. It is sew very easy! It’s a great tote bag for running errands and will hold just about everything you need for a day of running around. The bag is completely lined with two interior pockets and has a recessed zipper to keep your contents contained. The outside pocket is perfect for keeping your phone, glasses and keys handy.
Supplies:
Main Fabric (1/2 yd): 2 - 16.5” x 19.25”, 2 - 3.5” x 16”, 1 - 2” x 4”
Lining Fabric (1 yd): 2 - 16.5” x 19.25”, 2 - 6.5” x 12.75”, 2 - 6.75” squares & 1 - 12” square, if doing the pieced pocket. Otherwise use 2 - 12” squares. For straps cut 2 - 4” x 30” with straight of grain.
Accent Fabric (scraps): 2 - 6.75” squares, only if doing the pieced pocket
Fusible or Sew-In Foam (1.25 yd): 2 - 16.5” x 19.25”
Pellon SF101 (2.5 yds): 2 - 16.5” x 19.25”, 1 - 6.5” x 12.75”, 1 - 12” square, 2 - 4” x 30”
