How to Sew Menta Booties - DIY Menta Booties Sewing Tutorial
Menta Booties have always been my go to. Not only is their so many different "hacks" that you can do to them but they stay on your kids feet and are so simple to make.
In this video we will be walking though the pattern step by step to create a pair of booties. I have chosen to use an old leather jacket that I found at a local thrift shop but you can choose absolutely any fabric and it will work. Below you will find links to some of the equipment that was used along with where to purchase the pattern. I hope your ready to create together.

Love this! Memories, too. These booties/shoes were very popular 50+ years ago when I was in middle school. Had a few pairs. I see these in my grand babies' future!

WHat sewing machine/model do you have. Looking to upgrade my machine and I like to sew booties here and there and want to make sure my new machine can handle the thickness of the layers and materials in the booties.

I currently have a Bernina 570QE but I think they have upgraded their models since I purchased mine. If you find a good dealer they should be able to guide you in the right direction. One thing that I have found is the machines with metal bobbin housings seem to work smoother that those drop in bobbin machines, but this may also be a personal preference.
