If I wanted the zipper to open from bottom to top would I just turn it around and use a separating zipper? I am new to sewing and am not sure how that would be done and how that would look. My daughter in law is requesting it

I have many quite a few of these (Peekaboo PDF pattern) and always struggle with the neck binding. I came out here on KZfaq to see if there were any tutorials. I’m still not sure how you did that, with the curve. My pattern shows to sew the curve onto the binding, turning inside out so the edge is finished. I wish you’d have shown the inside of the neck binding. Thank you for this tutorial!

Yeah, I am an intermediate sewer and still found she went a bit too fast on that neckline. I wish she had slowed down there and shown us in more detail how to do that part.

I am having trouble finding 60-inch wide fabric. I am using luxe fleece for the inside and flannel for the outside. If the stretch on the fleece went the opposite way as indicated on the pattern, would that make a big difference?

Thank you for this tutorial, there are so many patterns out there so having 3 styles (in differing sizes too) all linked in one place was helpful. Plus, you are my type of sewist; too many tutorials I watch don't press and I honestly find them cringe-worthy and hard to watch! Happy sewing!

If you stitched around the whole bib how did you get red on the front and white thread on the back? How did you separate the stitches?
@Paisleyjan1
@Paisleyjan1 2 жыл бұрын
Usually when you thread your machine you use the same color for the top spool as you do for the bobbin. This is fine when the fabrics you are sewing together are the same or when the underside of your project will never be visible. However, if you are sewing something like a place mat and the top side is one color and the underside is a different color, it will look more professional if you match the thread on each side. This is easy to do: what you need to know is that when you’re top-stitching the thread you see on the right side of the fabric (the side facing up to you) is coming from the top spool of thread (she used red) and the stitching underneath (the side facing down while you’re sewing) is coming from the bobbin (she used white).
