Dude, I've watched at least 10 or more video's of how to make burp cloths and yours won by far! No unnecessary instructions on how to do stuff a sewer already knows! Plus I love this pattern! Thank you. I'm going to start sewing now.😁

I'm a newcomer here, even though this has been here awhile. I saw another almost identical (but much smaller) pattern that really was too small. It wouldn't cover much shoulder. I thought this one was too big, so I drafted a pattern between the two sizes. Then after "auditioning" them on my shoulder a few times, I decided that this larger one was really the right size, for best coverage. It's all about coverage. My "S" curve turned out perfect on the first try! Great instructions. My hint is that I often use manila file folders for my patterns. I use the fold line of the folder as the fold line of the pattern. If I want to cut it full size, just open it up. If I want to cut on the fold, just fold the pattern in half. It is heavy enough for moderate use. This pattern fit well on a letter size folder, except that I did have to tape a leftover piece to fill in the indentation on one side of the folder.

Great Video! I've been looking for an easy way to make my own template. Thank you for the clear instructions! Could I suggest using a pinking blade made for your rotary cutter? That way when your pinking blade gets dull you can quickly change to a sharp blade. (Unlike the always dull pinking shears).

Are you able to show the finished seam where you had to leave opened to turn, would live to see and up close of that part. I am currently doing a burp cloth and wanting to finish that open part, for turning as flawless as possible. It does look different or at least for me, please correct me if I'm doing something incorrect, as all the other seams around the open part are enclosed. Is the how it should be? The part when doing the top stitch over the opening after turning the material in and under creates a slight ...well it's hard to describe but I am hoping you understand what I am asking. I just want the finished edge to look nice and not to noticeable. Thank you for you time in responding-:)
@ScrappyPatch
@ScrappyPatch 5 жыл бұрын
Yes it's supposed to look like that. If you don't like the look of it, you can always hand sew the opening closed with a ladder stitch and you won't be able to see the opening. Thanks for watching and I hope that answered your question.
