It is not easy to shade hyper realistic eye but I’ll take you through the process and show you the mistakes to avoid and the right tools to use. I used to draw realistic portraits of family and friends. I was very very good until I started drinking and doing drugs for over 20 years. I stopped drawing and years went by. I got myself clean and my interest to draw returned, but I found I no longer have that gift I once had even after being clean for 6 years. I am very discouraged and want to draw again but it's not there anymore. Are there any pointers you could offer. Thank you "God Bless"

Learnt a new technique last week. use drawing gum to keep the whites crisp. that way the graphite or charcoal doesn't smear on it. helped me alot with my highlights
