Honestly didn’t know this was a thing

The friend you are sharing with needs to have the email address associated with your Apple id saved in their contacts and vice versa. Found that key detail out in a Mashable article.

Very cool but I'm assuming this does not work if you have a guest WiFi network that you do not use.
@hansenc070506 жыл бұрын
it does! so what I did is joined my guest network once and then marked it as don't auto join and it will still share the password with others even when you aren't connected to it.

It’d be nice if it was actually reliable. Hasn’t worked for me at all yet.

It was just contrary for me, very few times I had to repeat the process to work, most of the time it's just there even when you don't expect it..

I been noticed this feature already. I like it but when it doesn’t go through you have to enter the password.

It's quite shocking this is a feature of iOS, so anyone you have given your WiFi password too is entitled to pass it on?

If it's not a 100% reliable and doesn't immediately pop up (see also airdrop), it's just easier for the guest to type the password.

Well that really depends on the password
