I've always tried to watch and listen to people like yourself that know how to sharpen and you explain things in a way that's easy to understand. Sharpening knives or any metal blade to a working edge is an art and knowing what your doing can save time and help to reach the best result! Thanks!

I love watching BBB break down edges in fashions that make men cry...only to build them back up even better than they were before! (Brass rod, anyone?) Amazing. Love your work.

I just bought this sharpener to practice hand sharpening. It's a great little tool. I need to buy the better model but this one works great. Thanks for the demo.

You’re the man. Thought I’d ruined my pm3 maxamet blade. Was destroying it on this thing and this vid got it razor sharp again.

Thanks for posting this man! I've had this sharpener for over a ago & although I knew I was doing something wrong(crap edges) I couldn't sort out the details. Gonna use your technique in my Tenacious tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. Cheers from Hawaii!

I have a Benchmade worksharp, great if that’s all you have. I have three ceramic rods with kydex holders. Love ceramic for touching up edges.

I have watched ur video 3 times and it seems like I am doing exactly what ur are doing. I am a beginner but I cannot seem to raise even the slightest burr. Any idea on what I could be doing wrong???
@FearNoSteel3 жыл бұрын
Hitting the bevel with too much inconsistency, use a sharpie marker to mark the bevel, see where you are hitting on the stone, and correct as needed. Stop when you make a consistent burr from tip to heel. Don't overthink it.

The back and forth method requires more skill than just going in one direction.
