Bryan, what backpack are you using to carry your bow? Do you recommend that instead of attaching it to the bike with a carrier?

what gear do you start off in on flat ground from a stop ?

Would having the bike in the higher gears like 7 through 9 be a problem in pedal assist 4 or 5 on even terrain or down hill as well? Just curious for when I’m trying to get home as quick as possible.

No. You just don't want to be climbing with that. Even terrain or downhill is just fine. Just make sure you are starting from a stopped position in that gear.

Do you need to lower your assist level when in the lower gears as well or is that why you just want to watch what physical gear you are in using the larger sprockets?

Just wanna watch what physical gear you are in. The assist level is ok being high. But if you're planning on going slow it's still a good idea to lower the assist level.
