the Ship Building looks so good. I like how easy they made it but still have such a plethora of options and parts.

OMG, Thank You i am 20 hours in and couldn't find where to add new parts!!!! So I been only using the first ship the entire time getting reckted lol. I didn't know you have to delete parts to be able to see new ones! thank you for the most detailed ship building video! This is exactly what i was looking for!

This is way more sophisticated but I can't help that this reminded me of the Gummi Ship building from Kingdom Hearts, the first one. I learned the art of customizing through trial and error, just like this guide that Josh painstakingly put together for Starfield enthusiasts alike! Well done, Smeagol!

I noticed a couple of vital things I overlooked when building my ship that you covered. Appreciate the walkthrough!

Super helpful tutorial. Just note that not all the option you have are available at the start of the game. After meeting with Constellation I only have 6 options for the Grav Drive. So at some point in the game (or based on skills) more options open up like you have. Still, very useful guide!

Thank you. It is beyond frustrating how little tutorial the game offers with all the awful menu designs from ship building to inventory mgmt. Thank god the modders will be able to rescue us.

You dont have to duplicate and flip, if you instead go to the attachment point and press Attach it should open the add window on your last added component.

Thanks, defenitily helped me get a handle on how the ship building works. Couldn't follow the guide too closely though as you have tonnes of parts that aren't visible to me in the game so far.

It'd be helpful if you listed the location you built this ship at, as many of the parts aren't available at New Atlantis, which is likely the first place a new player will attempt to construct this ship.

Holy crap! I can't believe there are so many self-proclaimed space-sim fans that were pre-disposed towards hating Starfield. This stuff is from a space-simmers wildest dream. It's like if Freelancer and Kerbal Space Program had a baby.

Only thing I would add is to change the power generator as well otherwise great video helped me out for sure with a crimson fleet battle I had to do. 👍

You can only flip parts in one axis??? This can't be possible. I've done a cool design to my ship but cant use it since the shield generators wont flip in the Y axis

I mean these are cool amd all and will probably do something quite similar but my ship doesnt have issues in battle, the issue is the fact that the cargo is so miniscule

I have some questions: -Did you find out what is the max and minimum size of a ship? -Are there different style cockpits in the game? [I know there are multiple manufacturer for parts but they all looks kinda samey to me. All forward faceing, kinda feels like they are designed in the front of a ship etc etc.] I'am more into the back / elevated bridge / cockpit style, preferably to the left/right from the centerline without looking like a bootleg Millenium falcon. :D -There was some pictures where smaller ships was docked / attached to a larger one [like a carrier+fighters or some kind of parasite fighter], is it actually in the game? -Can you up or downscale parts? -Is there any sign of existing "illegal" building technique? :D [In fallout 4 u had to do some to make actually working stuff without being ugly as fck...] -I almost forget to ask: can you pimp your ship's interior? [I mean with various miscs, not actually usefull things like crafting etc. :D ]

I don't know why Sci fi demands there are windows...with all of the monitor and camera tech the cockpit and flight officers should be in a circular room of monitors showing 360 degrees at the center of the ship.

My biggest complaint about the building is you cannot have multifloored ships (stacking habs) your cockpit has to be level with your docking

You need to provide the location of this shipyard for folks to copy this exactly. Not all shipyards have the same items for sale. And the starter shipyard is really bad.

Aside from the first 4 ships you fight I have not seen people flying and fighting in their ship. Just go to ship and insta travel.

Awesome stuff. Just did it at level 7 but with small adjustments and some cheaper parts. Ship is much better already. You have access to a lot of ship parts that don't appear to me. Is this related to the shipyard, level or maybe skills? I am in new atlantis, level 7, bounty hunter but havent spent much in new skills. Also, when do you think we need a completely different ship? Will a customized frontier, spending 70-100k like you showed, make it better than other early available ships? Or is this just until I can get a Mantis or Star Eagle? Thanks! Thanks.

Hi and thanks for the video! I just tried to follow it and fail right in the beginning as I do not get offered the Helios 300 and 400 grav drives for example. I tried it in NA, Cydonia and like you, in Akila City. So do I need a certain skill unlock for the other drives to show up? Thanks and see you in the starfield!

Are they gone forever or stored somewhere for later ships or for re-attaching to the same ship if ever we want to roll-back our changes for some reason?

the 300 grav drive isn't even in my list to choose from, and I only have 6 to choose from compared to your long list, and I'm using the starter ship and following you step by step, why is that? I have 100, 140, 160 17 and r-1000 and ng200 grav drives and I don't see a list of parts that I don't even have skill for, are you sure you don't have some skill in ship building? also the amun thruster 3 isn't available and the hab you selected, what am I doing wrong?
