I mean it was a nice touch but completely unnecessary and a waste of time & resources. I generally will wrap with bubbles & a few blankets (depending on size of item) but its not like UPS or FedEx where they are tossing them all around from truck to truck. It goes in a truck and stays in that spot until it gets to the destination.

Hello, I heard that bubble wrap is bad for the wood surface if the piece is wrapped directly with it. Have you ever seen any damages on the wood when the surface is directly expose to the plastic wrap or bubble wrap?

Pay attention. His first layer is a Plastic Bag. Bubble wrap does not come in contact with the product ever.

What if you plan on making a LOT of one particular large item that sells? Like if I made a 7ft tall bookshelf, but had hundreds of them waiting to ship? It’s only worth $300 at most, but I have to wait on some dude in a pickup truck to accept the bid, and pay like $700 in shipping? What kind of sense does that make? I don’t understand this uship stuff

I have a dumb question I haven't seen answered. How would I weigh an antique Louis XV style Bombe? It's made of thick, heavy wood. Each drawer is very heavy.

How do you figure how much shipping would be? To give a quote to customer with shipping included?

I take my best guess at the weight and dimensions. I give that info to my customer and they get a quote. The estimate is usually within 10%

@@CUM2america For the record, this product likely was sold for $2000 with the shipping being advertised as "free". His profit is good and the customer is pleased with their absolutely gorgeous table and bench seat.
