Great video, but I have to disagree on one point. 110 film is not just good for people “scared” of 35mm or medium format. I like to use 110 in addition to the other formats for the quirky, grainy, creative shots you really only get with this format. I feel like 110 definitely has a place for any photographer. 😊. I also have the Pentax auto 110 and it’s really a great little camera!

I can agree to that! I like it as a format to shoot every once in awhile! Just not a main format!

@@KylerSteele 100% agree there

I've just bought one. It'll look tiny next to my Mamiya! I love the "no detail" quality.

Agreed. Have the same camera that belonged to my grandpa. So there is the emotional attachment to it.

Yea… no! I shoot 4x5 and I LOVE this 110 camera. I have all three different lenses and have the flexibility between wide and zoom. I love the low er quality of the pictures! It give a very cool and retro feel to the photos! So yea… completely disagree with your assailant assessment

For me, personally, the reason I shoot 110 is that while my camera bag may have a rotation of 35mm or medium format cameras it ALWAYS has my Pentax 110 in it. Furthermore my Pentax 110 often accompanies me when my camera bag stays at home. Yeah yeah I could just use my phone but the whole ritual of shooting, which is relaxing, is something the Pentax does great and when I see something novel to take a pic of it's always there. Is it the best photo I can take?: Nah, but as they say sometimes the best camera is the one you have on you.

Great use for the camera! Same reason I usually keep a point and shoot or disposable on me at all times!

I recently got one from my friend, he got it from his late grandfather and I’m honored to revive this camera and seeing the results I’m actually super excited to get it working and finally Shoot on ittt

Right after leaving my comment I loaded the film and went out to shoot. On the 3rd shot the advance mechanism stopped working. I read that the plastic gears often broke. So I bought an adapter and am going to use those tiny lenses on my Olympus just for fun!

Hi there, I came across your vid when I'm questioning and trying to find out whether my 110 Vivitar Point 'N Shoot still working or not bcs I have this since I was a kid. I've been having this confusion and afraid it wouldn't work since bought it around 1998 or so. I'm afraid there would be any hardware malfunction or mold/fungus inside the machine. So I was wondering do you have any suggestion or should I go for it since I already have a 110mm film ready to load. Thank you for your forthcoming response! Will definitely appreciate it 🙏🏻

Thanks for your honest review ! I too think that 110 is only good if you have cash to spare ….. no details, blown our exposures …. Yeah only good for fun like Lomo camera shots Even then there’s a lot of hits and misses

110 millimeter film would have been fantastic as large format since 110mm is about 4⅓ inches 😆 On a serious note, 110 is a Kodak designation. Just like the "5" in Nikon F5 is a Nikon designation. Just like 120 film is just 120 film, not 120mm film.

Where can you develop this type of film?

Most film developing labs will do 110 still! If not your local one then check out Retro Photo Reading
