Hi Scottie. I sketched the hands along with you. Hands were my favorite body part to draw in High Scool. 47 years ago! Lol. I draw them for pleasure now. I used the method of Line Drawing. Thank you for your tips on proportions of the hand.

You made the hand so much easier for me. I really appreciate the proportion information because I work more on the head and body before getting to the hands since I view the hands as detail work in a sketch. You have offered me a great way to work out size and position. I will be going to Patreon next as I work along. I like to start on KZfaq as an overview before going to Patreon to draw along. It helps we not get lost as I draw since I am not as fast as you are. I would recommend that approach for anyone trying to follow along and learn. Thank you so much for your clear instructions.

This is very useful, i did hand drawing in my art class and my teacher show us all these frame and geometric figure to draw hand. It confuses the heck out of me and i hated drawing hands. You sir, inspirate me to draw again, I would like to see your approach on drawing feet :)

7:57.... I know the focus is on the hands, so it's not that important here, but I just wanted to mention that the arm should come out directly from the sleeve (if we were replicating the reference) to show the weight of the clothing. (There wouldn't be that gap there between the sleeve and the top of the arm.) Some good info in this video though! 👍

Drawing realistic looking hands is maybe more difficult than faces. The fact that AI art finds hands so difficult to produce is quite interesting...
