Hi Scottie, enjoyed this video so much, second time I’ve watched you and I have already done a small flower painting, something which I never normally find time for. I do many crafts but have now managed to add a weekly spot in my planner to get back to art and I’m loving it. I’m going to use a separate sketch book for your style, it’s so relaxed with not too much detail and lovely loose painting, I’ve done a little of this before, but it’s a journey that I’m looking forward starting, using your tutorials as a guide. Sorry for all the waffle 😂 Thankyou for sharing your wonderful skill ! 🙂🙂

Hi Scottie, I really like your videos and learning a lot about sketching. I'm only confused about how to keep my lines nice and stand out. How long should I wait with the color wash to don't wash the lines too? When I used a fountain pen, even after a week the light colors were mixed with the black ink and the result was greyish :/ Thanks for the hints! :)

thanks! what type of ink are you using with your fountain pen? it doesn’t sound like it is waterproof? usually my ink is dry within about 5-10mins and I can paint over the top. I would recommend finding new black ink. I am using De Atramentis document ink 👍🏼

@@SketchingScottie Hi Scottie, Thank you for your answer. :) I'm using Lamy. I start to think that the problem was the "brush pen" I used. Actually, I used tip pens for coloring, but not watercolour brush pen.

First of all: My mind was blown when you measured with your fingers to determine if there was enough room to draw the full figure! Question: Where is the top and bottom of the ankle? Lol All these years I never even considered the ankle having a top and bottom! 🤦🏾‍♀️ Great tutorial

😊 haha yea I meant just above the ankle. So about where you'd pull your socks up to. Or another way is about a hand width above the ankles.
