Great video, I'm just about to buy my first printer (Elegoo Saturn 8K) and didn't know where to start so this was very helpful. One thing though, he's called Grogu!! lol

Wow finally i was able to understand something (and someone) about 3d resin printer, since im starting with only few weeks, and lots of failures 😅. Still dont understand those 2 columns on right side of chitubox, about lifting speeds and times etc. 80% of my prints breaks from supports 😡 Thank you very much for your patiente explanation Nicole.

Ahh!! Keep at it. I’ve failed countless times before getting the hang of it! In terms of your lift speed etc, you can leave that as default unless the manufacturer of the resin states otherwise. If your prints break from supports I recommend either hollowing your prints or increasing the amount of supports you have on your model! I’m happy to help if you have any questions 😁

Ive been 3d printing for 3 years and started with 2 creality resin printers. Then i wanted to go large scale and got a creality cr10 and that was like trying to ride a wild donkey while juggling chain saws it was a disaster it almost ruined my love for 3d printing . All the cura settings and the cr10 wouldnt run right then i bought the slicer program simplified 3d and that brought the printer around for a short while . Then the printer went haywire all over again i sold it to a guy who is a fdm guru and he couldnt get it run right either . Then i saw a youtube video for the peopoly phenom that was it for me it was in my price range and printing scale. I bought it and haven,t looked back. I love this printer it is so easy to operate i use the default settings in chitubox and my prints come out perfect every time i keep it running 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Resin is so much easier to use once you get a good work flow and the detail is amazing. I would like it if you would post some of your sculptures. Happy creating.........

Hi Richard! Ya I totally get where you’re coming from. I’m in love with the surface quality and textures you get from Resin printers 😍 it’s not even comparable. I started with a Prusa, which was tricky at first, then found my way to resin which at the time seemed so much more difficult!! Now after trial and error over a couple years.. I definitely prefer it!! Will be posting my sculptures soon! Stay tuned 😁

Are you using Chitubox Pro? So far I have been using Chitubox the free version, and I have issues with walls or things printing out that are not on the STL/OBJ files. I don't know if it is something that is happening in Blender when I model the parts or if it is due to the slicer program. The Anycubic slicer seems to be worse about doing this, and also not reflecting changes that I do to parts on the models. Also these things seem to show up more on OBJ files than they do on STL files. I was just wondering and speculating that if the Pro version would eliminate these issues then I should go ahead and buy it. I have been looking at Prusa Slicer and a few other slicers also but so far Chitubox has done the best job for me.

@@nicolebalian The models that I am making and designing are complex at points. I will send you some pics of what i am talking about. I call it ghosting. like on of the models I am making has 4 half cylinder shapes that when put together make a long cylinder hull shape. I slice them and they have half walls in the middle that you can not see on the STL file but they are all of the sudden there in the slice. I am just tryiing to figure out if it is caused by Blender, and or the way I model, and or the Slicer. I think its the slicer because Chitubox tends to not have as much of a problem with it as the Anycubic slicer does. Anyway I will post some, and or make a video about it and put it on my Model Channel. And Thank You. I hope you can help me fix it.
