Slow-carb works. I went on vacation and ballooned to 275 pounds. I just stuck to chicken, fish, salads, and mixed veggies and in just 4 days I was down to 261.8 pounds. Keep it simple, don't overcomplicate it, stick to the structure and you will see results.

I am looking on KZfaq to see if there is such a thing as a bean diet. I have gone so many years without eating any beans because of gas, but yesterday I was really craved them, so I soaked a 15 bean soup for 24 hours and cooked it for 2 hours and it came with cajun seasonings, so it was salty. It was so so so good that I ate 2 very large servings, and then today I had another 2 very large servings and I was so full. I do I.F., so I only eat 1 time a day and then fast for 23 hours. Normally I think about food all day long, but now I realize that I don't. This is cheap, easy and delicious, so if it would help me to loose weight, that would be exciting!

Slow Carb can be more sustainable long term for people compared to Keto also. It is an awesome option. Keto and Slow Carb are great! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the great video. What about endurance athletes? I'm triathlete begginer and most of my workouts are cardio based. I do have strenght trainings 3x a week, what about daily cardio? Thanks so much for the reply!

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking... but the Slow Carb diet is likely not going to help your performance as a triathlete. Maybe, if you're overweight, slow carb can help generally by the improvements someone might experience from general weight loss. But, outside of that, you'll likely need more carbs to perform well with daily cardio and triathlete style workouts.

What protein shake on the market would you recommend drinking immediately after a gym workout while on the SCD?

I'd say, for the most part, go with anything lower carb and you're find. I use these two: First is Prestige Labs for flavor and mixability if you're mixing it with anything or using it in your cooking. refer.prestigelabs.com/product/protein-blend Second is Nectar, if you're drinking it by itself. www.amazon.com/Nectar-Sweets-2-0-Strawberry-Mousse/dp/B08FFG2L5M/ref=sr_1_6?crid=22UDNW4W9T64A&keywords=nectar+protein&qid=1688673841&sprefix=nectar+protein%2Caps%2C85&sr=8-6&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.006c50ae-5d4c-4777-9bc0-4513d670b6bc

How do you use intermittent fasting with the slow carb diet Thx
@proudlydifferent6 ай бұрын
You probably wouldn't want to do both at the same time. But if you really wanted to try it, you would just eat from the same rules but during your feeding window.

Wake up, take your meds, then wait an hour and start your eating schedule/breakfast with a large portion of protein and don't even worry about the 30 minutes thing

Agh, I'm totally opposite. I like to cook and try new recipes. I also need to cook for picky eater. And I don't know how to eat eggs or meat without at least tiny bite of bread or side like potato or rice . It makes me gag 😪. But I so much want to lose weight and eat more healthy. How many grams of carbs are allowed?
@proudlydifferent2 жыл бұрын
For this diet, there wouldn't be any calorie or carb counting at all. So, no set limit. As long as it's from the approved foods list. If you can't stick to the approved list, this diet isnt for you. Which is fine. I started some new stuff on some REALLY simple formulas and strategies. I did a video a couple weeks ago called All Diets Are The Same. I also just began a series where I break down key information into 2-minute chunks to make it digestable for everyone. Check them out!

I think I'm missing something, it seems pretty contradictory... they say, eat copious amounts of the allowed foods on 6 days, and gorge on junk 1 day... rinse and repeat... however, then they say, watch out for the 'domino' foods as you over eat them... so, do u feast, or famine??? If it's not important how much you eat, why is there an issue with the other foods??
@proudlydifferent2 жыл бұрын
I can't believe this comment went unnoticed for 2 years!! I am so sorry. By pushing your junk to a single day, the potential damage is under control. While they say you can eat as much as you want of the approved foods, and to be careful of domino foods, the ultimate strategy still comes down to energy balance and controlling calories. Limiting calories and avoiding domino foods 6 days per week is a strategy of famine. You dont feel starving in the process because you can each such large portions because the caloric density is so light. Then, on the 7th day, you can eat as much as you want because there is a physical limit and low probability of over doing it. Additionally, jacking up the calories on the 7th day will allow you to push off the inevitable adaptation of a slowing metabolism due to restricting calories over time. So it sort of revs the engine back up, so to speak. Does that make sense?

@@proudlydifferent yes it does. Currently I am doing a lot of fasting and it's having a very positive impact on my health. Thank you for the thoughtful reply!! Better late than never 😜

Its important to go out of ketosis. this saves kidney function and overall health. ketosis is not healthy to be there permanently
