In this video, I demonstrate How to Smoke Wings on the Pit Boss Pro Series 2, 4 Series Vertical Pellet Smoker. I also have a very close competition between ‪@LanesBBQ‬ Chili Lime Seasoning and Glademen's Best Controlled Burn. We got some Franks Buffalo and Sorta White Sauce involved and let me just say, things got very interesting.

Top stuff.. Vertical smoker makes a difference for even cooking. I am from South Africa and don't have access to those spices and sauces but I've been smoking for years and firmly believe in trying what works best. I tried this first on my offset also around a year ago and it took a solid hour and half at around and under 250. With the offset, I had to monitor the ones closer to the firebox and flipped and rotated them to get them all done evenly. Love the content as we share the passion for BBQ. We have braai in South Africa but I find BBQ more satisfying both to cook and eat. Honestly, I just love making a fire and getting some meat on... It's a joy I'll never be able to explain.

Amen, my friend. There is something primal about fire and cooking over it and with it. It’s a human bond that will always be there. When we see fire and smell food cooking, we know that today is going to be ok. And that’s all any of us are really looking for, most of the time. Thanks for watching! Smoke on!!!

What I did on the Camp Chef Yesterday was 225 for 1 hour flipping after 3o minutes, reset the grill to 425 till internal probed at 165. Took them out into bowl and shook them up with Louisiana Wing Sauce and put them back in the smoker for another 15-20 minutes. I use Lumberjack Char Hickory pellets. I like how you mixed your sauce after the fact. I've got to try that.

I'm curious why you use the smoker tube. Does the smoker not let off enough smoke?
@TheAmericanSmoke
@TheAmericanSmoke 2 жыл бұрын
Some say no, some say yes. I always use it For shorter cooks to get more smoke on the protein. Honestly though, I have started almost always using the tube. Better color, better bark, more flavor. Thanks for watching my video. If you’re not already, it would be great to have you as a subscriber. Thanks!!!

Good-lookin wings Zach. I need a new smoker and keep going back and forth between the pro series 4 vertical and the pro series 850. I've read that the vertical takes a long time to heat up. That true? What made you go with the pro series 4. Like your videos. You going to do a brisket one? Smoke on.
@claudiaoctavia6340
@claudiaoctavia6340 2 жыл бұрын
the vertical heats up just fine. whats 20-30 minutes when your going to be cooking for 8-10 hours?
@TheAmericanSmoke
@TheAmericanSmoke 2 жыл бұрын
I chose the vertical because of the surface area. Some people choose other models because they want the ability to sear their protein. I have a charcoal grill for that. I haven't ever been bothered by the warm-up time. I usually start mine up pretty far ahead of time and start it got, to sanitize the chamber. This is a video I made on Brisket that uses a technique I developed to help me sleep a little better at night. Hah I hope you enjoy. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jNR-hcllsZ20Z4U.html
