My method: I start by putting all my key frames at constant then animate pose to pose, so I start with the key poses then breakdowns then inbetweens. Then when I completed my animation I changed it to linear.

yeah man I won't lie I've been abusing the Styles way too much instead of just making manual keyframes. Mainly because I'm too inexperienced and not that compliant in following more effective methods because I felt like it took way too much time. Thanks for making this tho. I hope I can improve my animation in the future.
@mreazl6227
@mreazl6227 7 ай бұрын
In my opinion, you should animate with key poses and in-between's to let easing handle the poses as it speeds up the process and sometimes makes it look better, like putting key poses that has lots of movement change, then adding keyframes in between them every 5 frame or so, or what you like, this way the easing performs everything smoothly and you don't need to really adjust the "drag" or anything. Sine out is the best when the pose is about to stop (or just wiggle), sine in is the best when something like an arm starts to move

I know nobody asked but animating at only 5s or animating at a constant speed just makes it harder 4 you, its good for beginners but sometimes almost always its hard.

I've been getting the whole pose types like middle drag anticipation or whatever into my animations with just intuition alone, and it's really really hard as a complete amateur to make something that looks so good and then try to reproduce that. I made a whole reload for an RPK for my friend's game, and I absolutely popped off near the end of it, where after inserting the magazine the held the ak by the mag while racking it with the right hand and then readjusted their grip on the gun with a little toss. Wish I could just get it right and move onto blender to use graph editor, but fr easing is useful until you actually wanna learn to animate.
@CreatorWesley
@CreatorWesley 2 ай бұрын
i think what you need to do is essentially try to replicate easing types with linear or constant keyframes. that helps build up your easing ability before you can work on keyframe posing .

the point of smooth linear animation is not to replicate the easing styles, but to create smoother transitions, better arcs, and more stylized movements.

not recommending you do this at all. linear animation is a lot better than using a single ease, as linear gives you the ability to make more realistic or exaggerated animation. also, just as a note, single eased movements just look mid and lazy.
