another thing to mention is that make sure you have enough felt for the mask! when cutting the felt, lay the mask on top of the felt and cut about 2-4 inches away from the mask. since the mask is a curved surface, you'll need more than just the shape of the mask to get a clean glue. great video!!

another thing if your risky w/ hot glue, from my experiences i recommend having a cold glass filled with water beside you (obv away from the mask to prevent water damage) incase you burn yourself -- helped me if i can say the least!

Room temperature water is best for burns, it will prevent more damage. Cold water reduces blood flow, reversing the healing process of the burn.

Tips for people: if u have a muzzle or/and ears extension id recommend using separate pieces of felt for the muzzle and ears cause it is impossible to felt without creases otherwise

One time i felted a mask, when i finished it there were tons of big wrinkles so i cut them out and painted them blakc and turned it into a tiger mask, the wrinkles made the stripes more realistic.

Btw, phenic, you can use parchment paper to protect your desk when using hot glue, the glue simply peels off. I do it every time i make masks! But you gotta press it down with smth first so it stays flat.

Felting is optional, the felt is to make it look more realistic like fur, (so if you want something that’s not having fur i wouldn’t recommend felt), I use buckram mesh for eyes , and faux fur for fur :)

I have some tips to tell them if you want to🫶🏽 -make sure they not busy and that they not in a bad mood🩷 -try explaining what it is and then slowly start tell them that ypyou think you’re a therian🐾 -I’m sure they will support you cuz they love you but if you feel like they don’t understand or something then you can make a PowerPoint and show them🫶🏽🫶🏽 -tell them why you want to make a mask and make sure they understand what theriopy means🍃 But take you’re time and don’t stress for telling them and if you feel like they won’t understand you then don’t tell them🫶🏽 Also make sure to don’t lie🖤

Tip: To prevent lumps in your mask, maybe heat up your hot glue gun prettyyyyyyy hot so it won’t dry lumpy after like two seconds! :3

im js wondering where u get ur mesh? i got plastic mesh but i realized it was too bulky/hard to glue to a mask so i was wondering where to get so,e like that :)

I got mine from Joanne’s but any fabric store probably have some they usually come in rolls or sheets like squares of felt

Im not 100% sure but ive seen other creators buy from etsy, ebay etcetera. No big companies such as amazon or shein or temu because they could be real even if they are advertised ad fake.
