Bought some EL wire yesterday, I thought it was good to go for a kids party, alas it came in a kit form with no instructions, this video has helped a lot, cheers for an easy precise straightforward way to do it. ;)

can you solder 2 different colours of el wire together?

Yes, you can, but we recommend running the wires in parallel, so each line runs back to the inverter. This helps the wire last longer with fewer errors. We also have splitters from 2-1 to 5-1 that help make each connection plug and play ready.

Ellumiglow do the splitters make the wires more dull?

No, the splitters wouldn't make the wire more dull. You would just need to make sure the inverter that's used is rated for the total length of wire that's being powered. For instance, five 4ft sections is the same power as one 20ft section. But you would want an inverter that's rated for at least 20ft.

you didnt say wether it needed to be a male or female easy snap connector, you should focus closer on your hands and not a full body shot, im trying to see what hes doing, and you didnt mention whether or not the angel hairs and the copper tip are suppose to touch eacho other before shrink tubing. :/

Steven, Most battery packs or inverters use a male connector, so the EL Wire portion should be female connector. The angel hair wires should be braided and they will be soldered to one of the 2 wires from the EZ Snap connector. These should not touch the bare part of the main copper wire when the shrink tubing is installed. Hope this helps!

Where is your copper tape ? That takes any mechanical load away from the corona wires . It's much more reliable

The noise is typically coming from overseas made inverters. Try our MEGA series inverters that cut out approximately 80% of the noise.
