I can’t wait to see how far you go, Chris. I’m about to be seventy, been playin for 60 of those years, and grew up appreciating all the greats from their first arrivals. You are as phenomenally intuitive, driven and accomplished as a David Gilmour or any other. I like it that you seem to have a humble respect for what your gift is all about, where it does or doesn’t come from, and you’ve kept your head out of it. Mostly heart stuff there. I’d say you’re going places, but you’re already some place pretty great: you’re Chris Buck. Many thanks for all you’re doing. Cayce

I've been around for long enough that I can recognise a musician who is fresh and original in his approach to his playing. Put it this way I can remember times when we hadn't heard of the Beatles. You don't use riffs that we've all heard, your playing is distinctive and I don't know what you're about to do, you surprise me that's a good thing thing. You're an excellent musician now but more importantly I can see a bright future, What impresses me is your choice of instruments you understand tone and how certain guitars and pickups get it.

I can definitely hear the Gilmore influence in your solo. I love your vocalizing of the notes and the minimalist approach to not “over sing” the fills. It takes a lot feel and appreciation of soulful singers to pull off your style. Your ability to use your thumb to hit the E string while using the pick blew me away. Why hadn’t I thought of that.....Learn something new every time I watch you play.

Your videos make me interested in playing my strat! I'm mostly an acoustic player, but I have a Squier strat that I modded the electronics to try out a cool idea. I've got it set up with 10.5's and I'm always amazed how much it resonates. It's a Squier for crying out loud! (probably highly resonant because the body is knotty pine...) I've had it for 7 years, and have hardly played it. But your videos make me think, "Hey, I ought to sit down and try that..." Not only that but I have actually tried things I saw you do, not just thought of it.
