Hi Sean, How is the brake pad noise on the street after installing the knockback springs? I just picked up a 2020 M2 CS, it's notorious for knockback on the track. I'm thinking about installing the springs before I go to the track. Thanks for the great tips in your videos! I'm looking forward to seeing the evolution of your F82.

Great video. I just replaced my front brake pads, struts, front chassis stabilizing bar link, and bearings on a 03' Corrola, and I still have this knockback sound and feel. Any thoughts or solutions?

Does this happen in a regular daily car? I'm trying to solve the random knocking sound I hear when I hit the brakes, sometimes it was immediate, at times few seconds delay. I'm thinking that it be caused by missing pad shim on the right side.

Great Video Sean - I am following you lead and upgrading my car as well - I have an issue at the moment i was wondering if you had come across before to do with breaks i think. When driving with foot on throttle i hear a humm noise coming from what seems the front, have worked out when applying the brakes the car does not shudder or sqeek - just hums unless i put it into neutral - when i put into gear and put load it hums again. But next day when cold it is normal-

Thanks Spencer. It's hard to say what's causing that humm noise- from what you describe it doesn't sound like brakes. If it only happens under load perhaps it's something in your driveline (bad diff, bad guibo, etc?). Or it could be a bad alignment causing the tires to feather and causing a humming sound. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Wouldn't knockback be your signal it's time for new pads? Kind of a mechanical sensor? I'd be leary of pushing it hard

Not necessarily. Let's say you still have 50% life left on your pads and now you're starting to get some knockback. By left foot braking (lightly touching) you can utilize your brake pads to their end of life. Race pads for a BBK can run anywhere from $300-$800, not cheap!

This is informative. Very good! It’s awkward the left foot action but as you mentioned I’m recently practicing it on my street driving

Thanks! I thought it'll be difficult on track but after doing it, it's quite easy. Practicing on the streets is the way to go.
