It did not help... I'm on android 11, this used to work and one day just stopped. I checked all settings, did all the updates, tested other apps, tested the website, NOTHING! I can even see the spots on the app showing that it recognises the pattern as a qr code and nothing happens. really weird even weirder, when I upload an image of a qr to the website it also doesn't work.

And, yes, the option to SCAN QR CODES is enables in my camera settings.

Tried installing the app you found, QR& Barcode Scanner, on my Google Pixel 7. At least it recognizes QR codes but only shows a line of Text and does not display a URL at the top. What to do?? Phone was working fine, scanned QR codes all the time until just recently. All other solutions in this video did not help, either.

I have an Android Samsung Galaxy S21. My system and all my apps are up to date. I made sure of that first off. I have no arrow on the home screen. I searched everywhere for Google Lens suggestions, but it does not exist. In my camera mode, mine says "Photo". I guess I have to install a QR reader.

Also my wife downloaded and installed a QR and Barcode Scanner app. When she uses my phone to scan a QR code it always opens the information for her. When I try to scan a QR code all I get is a photo (image) in my Gallery location.

My qr Scan has a line test pattern through it and won't let me see anything on it. What to do

I get Information about something that has nothing to do with what I've scanned in fact the code is crossed out and a completely different code is offered about something completely different.

I am watching your video but that is not what happens with me. My wife installed a QR code reader app on my Android phone. When I open the Camera App and point it at the QR code nothing happens except that a photo of the QR code goes to my Gallery. Even when I open Gallery all I get is an image of the QR code. My wife can grab my phone and open the camera app and point it at a QR code and get it to work. When I ask her why it works for her and not for me she says she doesn't know as we both did the same thing with my phone. This has happened to me at restaurants, in stores when a QR code is on an item on the shelf, or on a flyer or other mailing. Not sure why I can point my cellphone camera at a QR code and it does nothing but if my wife grabs my phone and points it at the same QR code it reads it and displays the information. I think I am jinxed.

You said you downloaded a QR app, yet when you go to scan you say you are using the camera app. You need to close the camera app and use the QR app instead, which also uses the camera lens.

@@HowToX Tried it both using my camera which has QR Code scanning enabled and I also opened the QR Code scanner directly from my apps directory. Same thing happens to me...I get an image of the QR code sent to my Gallery on my phone. My wife grabs my phone from me and points the camera at an QR Code and in less than 2 seconds the link for the information in the QR code is displayed. It works for her on my phone but not for me..
