It is easy to reverse Type 2 Diabetes following these 5 easy steps. Type 2 Diabetes is not chronic and progressive if you stop eating the wrong foods and start eating the Proper Human Diet.
You deserve a normal A1c, and also a normal C-Peptide. The way you achieve these is to remove the high-carb junk food from your diet and replace it with the food your body needs for optimal health.

5 NOT EASY STEPS TO FOLLOW 1. stop sugar - fake or natural 2. stop eating grains - wheat, corn, oats, rice, quinoa, amaranth, millet - quickly converts in to sugar 3. stop all veg oil - inflammatory - canola, soybean, sunflower, safflower, peanut, corn, cotton seed oil; very high omega 6 to omega 3 ratio, oxidize very rapidly when you cook with them and also in your body 4. Include lots of fatty meat in your diet. Fat and protein don’t raise your blood sugar, nor insulin level to any meaningful degree but provides tons of vitamins and minerals. 5. Get carbs only from above ground, non-starchy vegetables, eg. leafy greens. * Howl in despair several times... THERE IS NOTHING LEFT TO EAT...NOTHING...then get started! As my doctor tells me... EXERCISE. EXERCISE

@@mikeob9502 Yes. The big prob is fasting glucose is more commonly done, and when one's pancreas is functioning, it is putting out a ton of insulin for years, keeping glucose out of the blood and blood glucose test numbers down, masking the diabetes and hyperinsulinemia for years from being diagnosed, making millions get sicker and sicker without them knowing that they are sick and headed for a bad outcome. Test insulin, not glucose. Request fasting insulin, and/or get an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test which will show just how much insulin your body is having to constantly crank out day after day, year after year, til your blood glucose finally heads upward and you're screwed.

I had a friend who was a diabetic. He got covid and was in the hospital. His BS spiked so high that they were having trouble getting it down. They were concerned with his pancreas and kidneys being damaged. They were supposed to give him monoclonal infusions but kept putting it off because his sugar was so high. He also had pneumonia, and then days later, he also tested positive for TB. There was a post made that the hospital gave him corn flakes for breakfast. 🤦‍♀️😪 😡 He died days later. 😢 Makes me angry that hospitals gives such crappy food to sick patients! I have Celiac Disease. I was in the hospital for 4 days and the nurse got pissed off because they didn't have much of anything I could eat. That's ridiculous.

Since week 2 of this diet, my blood sugar had dropped further down each week to the point that I’ve cut my insulin in half because my counts went from 11-12’s to 4.5-5 now, and I feel so much better.

I watched my grandma wreck her health, end up on dialysis, and endure horrific neuropathy due to diabetes. The diet she was guided to eat was 120 g of carb a day. When I found myself on that same path, terrified of life without bread and dessert, I actually made it worse. One day keto just clicked for me. I wasn’t hungry. I wasn’t hangry. I had energy I’d never known was possible. I’m almost 50 and I’m in the greatest shape of my life. The worse thing about it is knowing what I know and watching the people around me continue to wreck their health even after they know what I have achieved and how I have achieved it.

Yeah, Type 2 Diabetes is reversal. Type 2 Diabetes just means you're so resistance to insulin. Yet my grandma (dad's side) still believes that Diabetes needs to eat carbohydrate every day in a form of whole grain (because she takes Metformin). It doesn't make sense, why take a drug that will lower your blood sugar by force in the 1st place, then eat carbs to raise blood sugar and the cycle continues. Grandma is eating so called "healthy" and still follows the MyPlate thing. My grandma also believes we in general need to eat 6 small meals a day (a good recipe for insulin resistance). We as humans are meant to eat one to two large meal a day but fast for a day or so, you know, what you and Dr Eric Berg and Dr Jason Fung would recommend.

I’m glad there are doctors like you and Dr. Berg that can give good direction because every time I’ve had questions and sought solutions from doctors they either say they don’t know or they prescribe medicine. I am 66 years old and was told a few years ago I was pre diabetic. Yesterday my labs came back with an A1C of 7.2. My doctor wants to start me on meds but I've been following you and other doctors on KZfaq for years and am terrified of taking any pills or other drugs. I gave up all alcohol 2 months ago after a life of 4 or 5 bourbons per night. I've also have been experimenting with intermittent fasting for about 2 months and have gone from 245 to 240 lbs eating mostly bacon, eggs, ribeye, chicken, and some cheese I've watched yours and Dr Fungs videos and am going to follow that advise with hopes of naturally lowering my A1C. I also have had 10 kidney stones removed in the last 4 years so I'm hoping KETO or Carnivore will not be a dangerous meal plan. Days before my last fasting lab work I had been drinking alot of 100% tart cherry juice for gout in my left toe. Do you think this could have caused my A1C to be elevated. I would appreciate any advise or information that can help me turn around my insulin resistance and lower my insulin/glucose level . Thank you, John R

@@FloridaCatholicGuy Not according to nutritional science. After about age 20, we may have all the insulin-producing beta cells we're ever going to get. If we lose them, we may lose them for good. Autopsy studies show that by the time type 2 diabetes is diagnosed, we may have already killed off half of our beta cells. Fat breakdown products can interfere with the function of beta cells and ultimately lead to their death. A chronic increase in fat levels in the blood can be harmful to our pancreas. It's not just any fat, though, but saturated fat. Indeed, saturated fats are harmful to beta cells, the insulin-producing cells in our pancreas. Cholesterol is harmful, too. The uptake of bad cholesterol, LDL, can cause beta cell death as a result of free radical formation. What can we do? Cutting down on animal products and eating a plant-based diet may help in reducing both saturated fat and cholesterol intakes. To drastically lower LDL cholesterol levels, we need to drastically reduce our intake of trans fat (found in processed foods and naturally in meat and dairy), saturated fat (found mainly in animal products and junk foods), and dietary cholesterol (found exclusively in animal products, especially eggs).

My wife and I have been keto for many months. I started my journey at 250lbs and am now 190. My blood sugar ranges from 60 to 105. Occasionally I'll get too low and have to eat a yogurt or glucose tablet. We do keto coffee in the morning, walk 2 to 5 miles, make a large salad around 2pm and eat half, then around 5 or 6 eat the rest of the salad and a good portion of fatty meat. In spite of all of this, and all the time on keto, if I eat something with carbs my blood sugar will immediately shoot up to 200 - 400 and I either need to inject insulin or exercise to burn it. As far as "reversing my type 2 diabetes" goes, I simply don't believe my pancreas will ever generate enough insulin to compensate for carbs. Therefore, on a keto diet and exercise regime I am maintaining normal blood sugar ranges and lower inflammation and overall good health, but I can not squeeze insulin out of a tired pancreas to truly "reverse" my type 2 diabetes.

Dr. Ken's advice and associated videos were instrumental in preparing me BEFORE making an appointment in September 2020. As I suspected, the doctor labeled me "diabetic" and referred me to a "nutritionist advisor" that pushed an inflammatory diet (all the while, nodding, acknowledging, and knowing better.) In January 2021, my follow up surprised my doctor, with A1C dropping from 11.6 to 7.2-- with daily glucose averaging 140, down from 300 three months ago. I'm looking forward to six-month follow up, considering I have eliminated Metformin and settled into "life style" regiment that is easy to maintain. Thanks, doc!

I reversed type 2 diabetes in 2 months. I was diagnosed with an A1C of 6.5 and a fasted blood sugar of 138. My doc immediately put me on metformin. I decided to do the 16:8 intermittent fasting method and eventually the OMAD (one meal a day) and MOST importantly I did a low carb diet. I restricted my carbohydrate intake to less 70gms of carbs. I started to track my fasted blood sugar daily. My fasted blood sugar went from 138 to 87. On the off chance that I’ve missed a dose, the next fasted result has consistently been below 90. I’ve lost 30 lbs in 2 months. I’m excited to do my 3 month follow up test. The goal is to be off metformin.

Was in diabetic territory (A1c)- 7.1 which has dropped to 5.8. C-peptide dropped from 3.0 to 2.5. Fasting insulin dropped from 13.5 to 8.2. Was able to terminate all heart meds (statins, beta blockers etc. and glipizide). Have lost a total of 80 lbs. Pretty much carb-free at this point. Thank you Dr. Berry!

Good morning Dr Ken Berry, I have been eating low carb for a month... have just been to the Dr and one medication has been removed and the other halved!!! The Dr is very impressed and somewhat surprised!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your clear and very helpful advice! Diabetes is the result of eating the wrong foods for a long period of time! Thank you so much, I am one very happy person, still can't quite believe it really!!!!!

I'm very close to reverse it. Within 3 months went from A1C 10.8 to 6.7. Hoping for my next Doctor's visit I can finally reverse it. I'll most definitely ask for the lab test you've mentioned. Thank you Dr. Berry and may God bless you for all you and your wife do to better people's health!

@@keylimepie8426 diabetes is genetic. So while it can go away, meaning your A1C is within normal range again AND you do NOT need insulin treatment. That is the key because all diabetics need insulin. If you don’t need it anymore; your diabetes is gone/remission. Since it is genetic and has already had its onset at one point in your life it never truly goes away. You will always have a proclivity to be insulin resistant and become diabetic, which is why you must be careful and continue to manage your health effectively with diet and exercise.

When I was diagnosed I was handed a play book by a NUTRITIONIST. It was a roadmap to an early painful demise. My A1c was 9.8, now it’s 5.4 and i truly believe I have a good grasp on how to fuel my body. Listen to this man’s advice. Listen and start practicing it. It works.
