What’s the best way to source candidates for a very entry level software engineer? I tried researching people who just graduated or about to graduate. What are some key words that I can use to narrow ur down?
@TheMillionaireRecruiter
@TheMillionaireRecruiter 2 жыл бұрын
Linkedin recruiter has lots of ways to do this in their boolean. You can do it by graduation date and by years of experience. Just be careful with years of experience. There are lots of junior engineers that count their school as experience which means you wouldn't find them if you put 1-2 years of experience. You can also look through alumni job sites. Happy hunting! The good news, junior engineers are far easier to find than senior ones

What do you mean by "tangent" sourcing?
@briannarooney1018
@briannarooney1018 Жыл бұрын
The whole video shows you what tangent sourcing is. It’s a technique I use that can’t be duplicated by a Boolean or bot. For example, You see a candidate in your search that is great but you’ve never heard of that company. So you go on a tangent (outside of current search) and you see if other people at that company are good as well.

@@user-kv5pb5sj2b oh! Very interesting. The problem is because the people you place are not normally on Linkedin. Once they are, of course Linkedin will make a place for you. However, recruiting and staffing is barely an industry on Linkedin which is BONKERS because we are the ones that pay their bills. So who knows..... One person in the Millionaire Recruiter Program does this and he has gotten biz from Linkedin, however, he finds his candidates on Indeed and operates solely via text message/phone. Very rarely will email.

I was able to locate several dozen candidates (finally) using some of your strategies (Tangent Searches) because I don't need someone with specific experience. How does a company sounding boring to you mean that the employee isnt skilled enough to do the job? Very irrelevant comment.
@TheMillionaireRecruiter
@TheMillionaireRecruiter Жыл бұрын
The correct way to say it would be if the person doesn't have experience with a company that moves at the same speed or work with innovative technology based on what company they are currently with. Depending on the company, would depend on what prior experience they would want someone from. For example, if it's a startup, they would have a hard time ramping up someone that has only been at big companies.
